Yep, i think these are the types of games Sony needs to get more of. I think alot more people will make the next gen plunge if these come out, instead of new ips. Sony's big advantage is the large install base of franchises, and not just devs.

I think as long as ps3 is the most expensive one (id say 399.99 being the magic number in the near future) it will remain as the "high-tech" console out there. But at the current price, its still too high for most people's taste.
