I think the maps need to be a certain size (as you put it big) because of the mobiltity mechanics. Pilost can cover ground very quickly smaller maps could feel claustrophobic, also titans need room to stomp around. And I do agree with you here, that bots do help with atmosphere. They also help you get your titan, and allow less capable players to contribute to the team.

This is a pretty ignorant statement. I have a few hours in overwatch and a ton in battleborn. Overwatch is the very definition of barebones compared to Battleborn. They are very different games what killed it was people being led to believe they had to pick from two similar games, they aren't. They are both quality games, and I encourage everyone to give both a chance. I expect we will see a permanent price drop soon.
