Wake up, you little shit ! We are in this to play games, not just looking at beautiful graphics and smooth framerate. Try as you might, but at the end of the day, even if your PC is the most powerful PC, it can't play Red Dead Redemption, Vanquish, Ninja Gaiden, Forza and bunch of other consoles exclusive games.
It will be quite an achievement if M$ can pull it off in the territories in which they seriously invest (US, UK ..etc). It is impossible for the Xbone to dominate worldwide though.
Ikr !?! Out of 4 mil copy of the Witcher 3 sold, 1.3 mil was pc's. Making the console's ver less than the pc's ver of the game (gameplay wise) is a stupid move. And cur-gen consoles games also can't be pirated (for now), so ... go figure.

Kinda early for this questions/statements about parity. Using stuffs of other companies will result in tie-contracts and whatnot. I don't believe devs and publisher are willing to jump on the ship easily. But we'll see.
Where have you been all this time ? "Game physics destruction" has always been the "Hot Thing". Bad company 2 was the hottest shooter in 2010 (best Battlefield). Red Faction Guerrilla blew minds. And PhysX, ooh boy ! I tell you, walking in the hallway of the Asylum with bricks falling all over the place is nothing but awesomeness.

I wouldn't mind a single-player game that has an offline mode (your standard stuff) and an online mode which has more to it (be it small gameplay elements or eye-candy graphics).
But gamers can experience new gameplay elements. I say it money well-spent. Though i can see the devs vs M$ about the money issues becomes a big problem.
