For someone like me that plays the sports games each year, this will really depend on how soon the games go into the vault for this service. If it is early enough, you can still buy a physical copy (Madden for example), and then trade it in while it still has some value left. I think you would come out ahead when compared to the 10% digital discount they are offering. Still $30 a year sounds reasonable.
Sent you a pm.
Currently, the service is available only to people who live in select areas or residence types, or are enrolled in select universities.
That is the diclsclaimer. It wasn't available in my area. This sounds a lot like the program they had a few years ago with the PS3.
As an owner of all the consoles I'm not at all biased. I do completely agree with the author of this article. MS played it safe this year. It wasn't a bad show, but I guess I just expected more. Maybe a Gears teaser, or at the very least more on Quantum Break. Sony's conference had it's low points, but in the end I think they showed off more impressive titles. So far this E3 I have Sony ahead but by a narrow margin. Maybe Nintendo will surprise us all tomorrow.
Did anyone notice that this along with all of EA's games are now $70 for PC, PS4 and Xbox one? Just checked Origin and Amazon.
Check IGN and Gametrailers. I know both of them are going to have all of the conferences. I also believe Jack Tretton and Adam Sessler will be on Gametrailers. Also, you can watch all but the Sony conference on Spike TV. Sony has a pretty cool app for their E3 press conference and you can watch it on the PS4 (maybe others as well). Microsoft is pretty much the same thing and you can watch their conference on the Xbox One. I hope this helps.
Glad to hear this. I'm a day 1 PS4 owner and will have my Xbox One Wednesday.
Having played this on the PC with max settings I probably won't get this. It was however one of the most underrated games in 2013 and in my opinion worth $60 if you haven't played it before.
I doubt it would be hard to replace one here. Target had shelves of Xbox Ones on Christmas Eve where I live. Maybe people were just afraid to use their credit cards there. ;)
I really wanted this game to be good. It was the only game keeping me from cancelling my Xbone preorder. I suppose I'll now wait unitl 2014 when some better titles are released.
Some people are just so gullible. ALso, I had to laugh when that one guy said, "I've been campaigning for the Xbox one and will continue to fight the good fight." Realy? Are people really like this? Personally I just want a true next gen game console, I don't care which company gives that to us. I want both MS and Sony to do well, but so far MS may be losing a sale from me.
I've owned all the MS & Sony consoles over the years, but I have to say I'm just not excited with XB1. This TV integration doesn't do anything to help me feel any differently, especially for $500. I'm sure I'll end up getting an XB1 at some point, but probably not until we see a price drop. I still want to hear more about how the NFL will be integrated as well. The only thing that interests me so far is the kinect with the new fitness programs coming out. For now I...
I just bought this one for $129:
HGST
1.5TB Travelstar 2.5" Internal HDD
1.5TB Storage Capacity
5400rpm Rotational Speed
SATA 6Gb/s Interface
2.5" Form Factor
9.5mm
I think the graphics on the next gen systems and PC will so similiar that it won't matter much. What may sway me into buying the PS4 version over PC is that it is supposed to include an hour of exclusive gameplay.
I'm not sure if these downgrades are due to devs being rushed to make the launch, or if it is due to lack of console power. Regardless, I really expected next gen to be 1080p native across the board. As it stands now, xbox fitness may be the best reason to buy an xbox one at launch.
“Microsoft disclosed some details but left many important pieces out. Evidently, Microsoft doesn’t want to tell all of its competitors about how well designed its system is.”
This doesn't even make sense. Let's not tell anyone about how great our new system is. I don't believe this for a second.
I really hope this game will be good. To be honest this is the game that will decide if I get Xbox One on day 1.
I think one of them needs to land on 11/12/13. A cool date and a Tuesday when a lot of items release in the US.
When did Microsoft confirm we could use external USB drives? I don't remember hearing about that.
I don't expect them to make this full library free for the beta, but I think they should at least make a few games free so people can try out how the streaming works from their location. I agree completely with this article as well. The prices are absurd, and they need a monthly subscription ASAP or this will never take off.
