Bayonetta has to be my #1 anticipated game this year; always has been, always will be. Heh, I haven't been this excited for a game since Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
I feel that Bayonetta is going to show me just how incredible action videogames can be. There is no doubt that the 3D action genre is one of the most disappointing genres out there. Bayonetta looks to not only revitilize, but dominate the genre itself.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Bayonetta will be Game of the Year 2009!!
Bayonetta is gonna take teh world by surprise on how phenomenol it will be! It may not be hyped up now, but when Bayonetta ends up one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time (not just 2009), it'll make a name for itself.
And I agree with the preview: I am definitely looking forward to Bayonetta way more than God of War 3 or any other game this year for that matter.

Capcom has lost their edge and presence in the industry. Mostly because they have embraced the whole "Japanese games need to appeal to the West" crap that's been goin on these past 2 years. Which results in very generic and bland titles that don;t stand out. There is a severe lack of originality from Capcom, and either its thier general direction their going or the fact that they lost their Clover Studios, which is now PlatinumGames.
Uncharted 2 will be awesome and one of the years top games, but I'm lookin at Bayonetta to be GotY, simply becuase its gonna have the "wow" factor of a new IP, that Uncharted 2 won't have.
Plus, Bayonetta is gonna be freakin awesome!
Okami is the biggest example of this. It didn't sell well, but is absolutely one of the greatest games ever created. and it won several Game of the Year awards, too.

PLEASE Atlus! Pick this up! No one deserves to publish this in US more than you! Especially after their phenomenol localization of Odin Sphere!
I'm not really into MMOs but if this comes to the PS3, I could get into it. I'm surprised its running on Unreal considering most games with that engine turn out ugly. This looks beautiful. And teh combat looks fun.
Definitely keepin my eye on this one.

It's when developers aren't concerned with money when they don't utilizing gimmicks or sequels. This is when true originality comes out. Glad there's developers like PlatinumGames and Vannilaware around.
High difficulty really is a must for twitch-based action games like this. As long as it's not annoyingly cheap diffculty like Ninja Gaiden 2. The first DMC got it right.
Bayonetta is under the radar now, but when it's released it will be a bombshell of a game! Everyone will be talking about Bayonetta!
Good to know that Famitsu gave it a high score. Muramasa is destined to be the best sleeper-hit this year in the US. I'm sure it'll sell great in Japan though. Vanillaware is definitely one of the most original and skilled developers around.
The gameplay videos you saw were just small parts of larger levels meshed together. The real levels within the game are going to be longer and involve platforming as well. That gameplay trailer you saw back at TGS was just a demo to show people many environments in a short time period and get used to the controllers.
Oboro Muramasa comes out April 9 in Japan. And it looks to be one of the top games this year, on any system!
Bayonetta will be the best. Simply because Kamiya-san set out to make the best action game and take action gaming to the next level. Everyone else is happy with where their action games are and simply dish out prettier sequels with the same gameplay; well that isn't making a better game!
More developers need to have Kamiya's mind-set when making their games, then we'd have better games that a stronger compettitve market, thereby leading to even better games.
