Yeah, saw my first one and tried to fight it. Got a couple good hits in but she wrecked me so I got out of there knowing I wouldn't do much better at that point and the story is far more important.

Spoilers ahead: It reminding me of a Dragonball fight makes that first fight even more epic. These are gods (or when you start the game one god and one guy with crazy powers). I don't expect them to be slapping each other like two idiots in a bar fight I expect over the top action. It also sets up that this is still the Kratos you knew from the original trilogy, just because he's older doesn't mean he can't hold his own now.
It will suck with or without a single player but without a single player and charging full price plus another $60 for maps that are locked on the disc is pure greed. Activision is trash.
The original will always be better. They dropped the ball so hard with Twin Snakes by trying to make him to flips everywhere.
Doing the story first then I'll go back after.
This game is deserving it's 10s much like Breath of the Wild.

Awesome, personally I don't need to download it seeing as it's Quantic Dream and I know I am buying and loving the game Day 1 anyway.
I loved Far Cry 5 but right now I'm liking GOW better, still have half a game to go so could change.
It's definitely a contender for sure but we still have 7 months left that they consider to be "2018 releases" so there are plenty of games to challenge it. Though the rest of the year needs to bring it's A game now. RDR2 will be it's the biggest competitor for sure.
Yeah...we've heard that before. Bioware doing their all talk and no show strategy shows nothing in the company has changed.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fallout 4 will be announced at E3 this year. Bethesda's new mission statement seems to be "Announce whatever we can to avoid releasing the 6th installment of our biggest selling and most anticipated franchise, The Elder Scrolls"

Hence the online only. If you want the thing they are marketing as the major feature of the game they cheaped out and made it online only. Just like Gears of War 4's horde mode is online only. It's a cheap tactic to control players and show that the original "online only system" was a good idea.
Even on the "balanced" setting, the fights are ruthless. So easy to get too greedy when dishing damage and get slaughtered because of it. Also learning to leave the health drops for strategic purposes helps.
Why, who asked for this? There is literally zero interest in the game, it was terrible.
