Well remembered game for me, I'd try it
Anyone noticed that the video actually feels like 60 fps? Even the interview part. How is that done? Is it just recorded and replayed at 60 fps?
Just curious because normally watching video of a game recorded at 60 fps looks normal (i.e. 30 fps). This video brings out the smoothness
With Frostbite 2 now built, a 3 year cycle sounds great..also, please bring out another Mirrors Edge :)
This may be the first racer I ever purchase for myself..my brother has all Forza/GT installments, this one shall be mine first!
..and whoevers watching you >_<
Into a dim room maybe, but under the shade of a tree there should be enough light to see
I'm not sure about this but maybe someone can answer..
Are the max settings in the alpha build going to be max in BF3? Or are they lower than max, and also other settings are missing?
Not necessarily the 'deciding' factor, but still a factor. The scale has always been there, confident this game won't differ
GPU?
With you on that, nearly opted for a Q6600, Q9850 or E8600. Decided to wait and ended up with an i7 at very nice pricing. Been more than satisfied since :)
Hard to condense into a Top 5, I see top-notch quality in all these games and a lot more. Happy gamer :)
I ignored the lighting previously, but man does it look amazing in some parts
The slightly quirky animations look intentional
I'm assuming he doesn't want to spend too much cash for upgrades. I would recommend 750w-850w (Corsair, Antec, OCZ to name a few quality brands), sure you can "futureproof" that much, but 750-850 would be sufficient for a long while.
I am betting that 6850 CF will be able to max BF3 (2-4x AA maybe..which is enough) @ 1080p. I haven't got solid info, but it seems the alpha runs well and BC2 is quite optimized (can max out with a single 6850) and since 685...
Hey Fat
Do you think a 6950 would max it? He has the same setup as me (minus the psu) and I'm purchasing another 6850 since it's gotten pretty cheap, I'm sure that should max it out.
Edit: Just read ATi_Elite's post below

Funniest thing I've heard all week hehehe
If not that, spend an extra minute signing up to tomshardware or another forum (most have very experienced users with very valuable info to share), and simply ask away.
I just OC'd my i7 920 (first timer) and it felt great, 3.5ghz..MORE TOMORROW! (addictive! :@)
Makes it that little bit more immersive/aesthetically pleasing
Haha +
That sound made me giggle haha
