In all seriousness I believe half of those games on there don't even deserve it. What the hell is Megaman 9 doing on there? Back on the NES there weren't really any art directions.

Either way, game looks boring, slow-paced, and ugly. I think I'll play that one off road N64 game instead, seriously I would because that game kicks ass.
About your surfing web while in the game thing, you have a few factors to consider.
1. Laziness. Before I got a computer in my room, the only computer we had was down 2 flights of stairs and on the other side of the house(a very very big house) from my room. To find one little thing, quickly, on the internet and have to go that far is annoying. I used to be exhausted all the time from running back and forth.
2. What if(for some odd reason) the person has no internet...
Even the SOCOM Beta is better than Wii sports.
IMO the best game ever was SOCOM 2 online. My very first console was a very old NES, then I got the SNES, then the N64, then the PS1, then the PS2, then the GC, now the PS3 and I've played every good game on all those consoles, SOCOM 2 beats all of them in fun to me.

Sony just needs to advertise on TV more. MGS4 commercials were a good start, but the movie voice over guy just makes it look corny.

SOCOM deserves more hype. It's a very fun game, and I love it and its only the beta. Sadly, I've been waiting about 4 minutes for a game to load. I really want to play a full 16v16 Crossroads :(.

2009 will be the judge. God of War 3, Killzone 2, and Some other big game I can't think of off the top of my head. They will judge Console Idol. Should KZ2 flop, It'll be close to done, for the PS3. If GOW3 flops its automatically dead.
