for that price i would snap the game up but unfortunately i'm in the uk. the problem i have with metro is it looks like it would be a game i'd enjoy but i'm unwilling to pay full price for a short single player game which has been getting critisism for terrible ai
oh i could afford it. but having barely played the first i decided to wait untill this game was a budget price. £15 certainly is tempting although for £3 more i could just get dow2:chaos rising which i'll prob get more hours out of tbh
the leap between uncharted and uncharted 2 was much bigger than gears to gears 2 imo and both in roughly the same time period of 2 years.
graphics:
gears -> gears 2 = graphical tweaks, more variety in environment
uncharted -> uncharted 2 = huge graphical leap making it arguably the best looking console game when it released
multiplayer:
gears -> gears 2 = refinements to mp but not too many additions + a ton of bugs. horde was ...
i doubt they would be able to put the powerbrick inside if they slimmed it down... lol isn't the point that usually u end up with a powerbrick after slimming down a console e.g. ps2 original = no powerbrick, ps2 slim = powerbrick
anyway:
built in wi-fi - they should include it but i reckon they are making to much money selling it as an overpriced stand alone adapter
quiter operation - deffo needed. atm when it comes to watching dvd's i don't have to thin...

well i remember playing the original delta force demo for pc but never actually buying the game. and that's pretty much my only experience with the franchise lol
if it's for ps3/psp though does this mean it's just a 'classic' and if so mayb they're starting to do ps2 classics? or is it gonna be a new game with the same name, which wouldn't be surprising considering rebellion also made AVP, a game that shared the same vision and title as the first game released...
i think it's more the casual players still playing it tbh. and cus they're not online as much it's rare for them to see these glitches as often as someone who comes home and spends their whole evening on a game like mw2
new free maps (well actually recycled maps with different modes) out on the 30th. and i'm sure there will be plenty more.
and this character dlc was part of the dr pepper promotion i.e. some ppl with tokens will be getting it for free, others have the option to pay if they wish. tbh i might if they are a reasonable price
u did get some free maps with the key....
nelson bay (rush) and laguna alta (conquest).
and at the end of the month you get two more:
Arica Harbor (Conquest)and Laguna Presa (Rush)
and these class editions are purely aesthetic
it's kinda worrying cus this dlc should be fairly straightforward comapred to new maps.
i was pleased to see they had planned out future dlc for this game ensuring it will be supported for the next 6 months, but if dates for all dlc keep slipping it wont be so fun

so much fun, but surprisingly i actually started to go off it when all the mods were released. now u go to join a server and you sit there forever downloading countless mods.
might have to check out quake wars sometime but heard it wasn't as popular? or as good?

SCEE are so so slow lol
i can understand they have to get the languages sorted for europe or whatever but releasing the collection after gow3 will lost it lots of sales imo.
i would have picked this up if i could have played it before gow3 since i never played the originals. gow3 releases and i can't wait so i go out and love every minute, but now i'm much less likely to pick up this collection.

true, but then this is an exploit in a challenge arena, the main game on the hardest difficult is still a beast. u don't even need to complete it on very hard to platinum, just hard. so what does that say about the ppl who play and complete very hard!
u still gotta complete the game on titan tho :p
haha will have to do that. the challenge is solid if doing it normally but i think some of the others are much much harder.
having trouble with the 5 cyclopses tbh. get pretty close but 1 mistake and u waste too much time

it's got good atmospehere and is set in a post appocalyptic world but thats pretty much where the similarities ends (altho i also hear both games have poor shooting)
metro = linear fps
stalker = open world fps/rpg
also metro seems to suffer from bad ai but some reports say this is only on the 360 version? at least i know gametrailers only tested the 360 version and there was so many bad examples that they ...

and yeh it's for 14 and was announced when ff13 released.
