PS3/360 fans bought their consoles because they wernt interested in motion controls, else they would have bought a wii...
If you own a wii you will buy motion plus because it is esentially doing what the wii should have done in the first place. It's also not a whole new control scheme, just an advancement over the current one.
Ppl are going on about how natal and sony's motion controls look really cool, but is it only me that can't actually see them taking off?
i don't get this. we have E3 and then there is article after article with developers saying 'Console X is maxed out', 'Console Y is maxed out' and so on. I would be very surprised if any console is 'maxed out'
not that a grade really matters but i'd say thats fair tbh. no announcments really blew me away or got me really excited tbh. was just a solid line up of games. B+ for ms for me for solid games and getting straight to the point B- for sony for solid games but talking way too much inbetween
ah well. as mentioned, not that many do have a 1080p set although i'm sure the guys that do will be a bit dissapointed. I make do with 720p tbh but in all fairness thats what nearly all games run at (have to bump it up to 1080i for wipeout hd though :p)
to mw2 getting timed exclusive map packs?
"actually saw the demo of the Natal, how could you NOT get excited, even as a GAMER!? "
because although it's cool. what games can you see it being used it. I'm not convinced that we have been stuck with controllers all this time due to lack of tech tbh
it is a big advancement over the eyetoy... but how many eyetoy games are there, how many big games has it been used in (other than profile pics/face modelling) - it's games are all minigame compilations
in all fairness twitter and facebook are good. but if i'm at home i get them on my pc and if i'm out i get them on my ipod touch. I never used msn on 360 either cus it just seemed to lag and freeze. the ps3 browser is only ever used for speedtests as well
hmmm they seem to have missed a lot of sony's announcments... like rockstars exclusive game. No1 knows what it is but with rockstars track record thats pretty big news. oh yeh console exclusivity for FF14 (this could be coming to 360 but as it stands from E3, its ps3/pc only)
I guess i wonder what sort of games this will work well with. I don't own a wii personally but from what i've read in reviews about some of it's biggest games, the standard 'classic' controller is actually better e.g. recently with punch out. From what reviews are saying, u can use the wiimote and nunchuck but it's much easier with the classic, especially the harder levels
this is bound to heat up soon... i'm staying out of it though cus at the end of the day, no matter what kotaku or any other site says (although some have been v possitive) i still can't wait to get my hands on this game
i kinda wish i kept my psp just to play psone games on the move lol but i still think this will be a must buy for me. Always been a fan of mgs but been so so long since i played this game that i'm not sure if i even completed it!! cus i borrowed it off a mate and never owned it myself
will get for pc then if it's gonne be free-to-play :D
look at all my comments. and how is my comment even remotely fanboyish? what cus i said some devs said they are pushing the limits of a console... i guess because i said it about a ps3 and you only own a ps3 :| if my sig doesn't convince u lol take a look at my comments haha if anything it's you 2 that are the fanboys!
btw mooey while ur checking my comment history maybe you should check your own. how you can call me a fanboy is ridiculous looking at some of the stuff you write ...
"how many Mario's were made? "
like over 100 lol
in all fairness 60fps is only really needed for racing games because you're traveling fast so it makes it a lot smoother. where as playing an fps thats 30fps as a pose to 60fps, i doubt you would see much difference
haha yeh essentially this is just doing what LBP has already done except LBP also allowed you to play online, create your own levels and had great physics
it probably is. I mean natal is more impressive BUT i can't imagine it really being used for anything more than minigames. for games that need intricate controls i imagine it would get really annoying if you try and do something and it thinks u wanna do something else + i wonder how natal copes if 1 player is playing, but there are several ppl in the room
I really don't beleive it when devs say this...
the other day the guys behind Crysis 2 said that Crysis 2 was pushing ps3 to it's limits (but no mention of crysis pushing 360 to its limits)
so if crysis can't push it to it's limits, i highly doubt COD:mw2 will lol
ppl will prob disagree, but from a technical standpoint mw2 isn't much of an advancement over COD4. Will still be a good game though but technically, not much appears to have changed
lookin frwd to seeing how this turns out
I have to admit that the Uncharted 2 beta swayed me, i played the demo though and thought it was alright, nothing amazing but still got the game. I assume i'm right near the end now but can't wait to finish just so i can play through again as evil this time :D
It is a really good game thought, it's not amazing but certainly solid and worth giving a go if your not sure. I dunno how the game ends yet so dunno if theres room for a sequel but i would hope so cus i think if they can ...
