"I can't imagine that Sony has a monopoly on a ruined Earth setting with robot dinosaurs"
And they never did, maybe don't fall for the BS angle Tencent is pushing, no one is being prevented from making a post-apocalyptic game with animal mechs. But made we shouldn't ignore that:
1. Tencent sought Sonys approval for licensing HZD not once but twice, both times shut down and they STILL went ahead and developed it.
2. In Sonys complaint ...
I quite honestly have grown bored with this particular "anniversary". It's pretty clear we're not getting a remake and yet this one has been especially drawn out compared to other anniversaries. We've had new key visual art for the famitsu cover, interviews, exhibition, picture book, new figurines (in which they've gone out of their way to give a slightly more refined look and change), jazz arrangement, a bunch of merchandising. They've given you every way of exp...
Kinda figured the lifecycle for this gen and for Sony in particular will be longer, stronger hardware with better graphical enhancements is not going to show immediate jump in quality for games anymore like in the 90's, graphics have since plateaued and what they should be pushing for is art design, physics handling and locking down framerates to 60fps as the absolute minimum required. Sony will always have their 1st party with their heavy hitters but i would also personally want to see t...
Unless any of those "new games" involves a proper Metal Slug game or bringing back some of their old classics in a new fresh coat of paint (Shock Troopers, Blazing Star, Crossed Swords, Sengoku, Ninja Commando), my interests remain tepid. It's far more likely another one of their old fighting games will be brought back in full 3D such as The Last Blade 3 or SNK vs. Capcom 3.
If Callisto is his idea of a Dead Space game without the supervision of EA, i don't think i'd want to see where he'd take DS4 now that EA aren't the ones in charge. No wonder he's "already" making calls.
Does BF6 need a costly graphical addition, something that has never been the determing factor for a good looking game let alone fun gameplay? No, no it doesn't.
"You and I can't play console sales. I want Sony games"
So do i, would love nothing more than to see them go back to their PS1/PS2 days. They've clearly painted themselves into a corner chasing graphics and cinematics taking the majority of their budget.
"Really? Why not? Let's say if they have something ready to show why shouldn't they show it?"
For the reasons stated above your post, money, 3rd part...
Yeah, well, they're still selling PS5s decently. To their benefit they're still seen as the defacto 3rd party console with some 1st party sprinkled here and there, no need to really show off anything substantial yet. They've also cancelled a bunch of GAAS games, no one really knows how far along these were but they must have had an impact on their games release pipeline.
Until they see their sales level go down to a major crawl, they'll continue with lightly...
Sorry, hard to feel excited for what i imagine will be microtransaction, DLCs, a bunch of cosmetics and a formulaic game design.
Well you successfully baited me into giving you a click so congrats on that, migth as well see what it's about.
" Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 revolutionized turn-based RPGs with immersive real-time mechanics. "
In what way? Legend of Dragoon kind of way? maybe Shadow Hearts-esque? or maybe some other turn based game with a timing mechanic?
"The game's success challenges the notion that turn-based games are outdat...
@RaiderNation
Why thank you, i do try to be precise in life.
And you're splitting hairs, It's an open world racing game, an "arcadey" subgenre of a racing game if you really want to push it. Otherwise, it's just another case of "fans of an exclusive ecosystem sees something new".
Really now, Nintendo doesn't really care whats being said here nor do they need any help standing on their own two feet.
"The new option will serve as a skip button, giving players text and image descriptions of the battle and its events."
Why not make it a VN at this point, why even stop there, let's remove other gameplay loops & segments because we wanted to chase the accessibility crowd, journalist crowd and the popcorn chewing movie binger crowd?
There's really no need to be defensive over an opinion piece, i think big ol' Nintendo can defend themselves just fine from harmless opinions, and if they think Nintendo is being anti-consumer (arguably the most out of the three at the moment), don't you agree that it would only benefit you and like minded individuals if a big enough stink is raised Nintendo might just back off a bit?
Whatever you say. Still not touching it for atleast 2-3 years after release, after all the patches and the apologies of course ;)
Uh huh.
A new single-player Batman game by "Rocksteady".
Without the director of the arkham games, Sefton Hill along with the co-founder of Rocksteady Jamie Walker and most likely a couple of other devs, writers and planners that were responsible for those games. Right.
I did, but after Nioh, not as much unless capcom actually shows something substantial.
If only they would remake or make a sequel to shadow tower abyss.
Meaningless. Show, don't tell.
Impress me or i'll put my wallet back.
Then could it not be argued that anyone who has anything positive to say to anything ever, is paid influencer?
