Microsoft Xbox one console is smoke and mirrors. A console that can barely make it to 1080p 60fps if at all and uses less and slower memory for gaming. (4gb for Kinect to run.) While the Sony's PS4 is 50% more powerful. The consumer has no problems figuring out which is the best system over all. The love for the Xbox 360 is the only reason Xbox one is selling at all. Hoping to relive the glory days.
Titanfall would have been better on the PS4.

What Destiny needs are dogs and fishes that move out of the way.
Some people say you don't start really playing the game until you reach level 20. I just hope it doesn't become a one dimensional game. Sometimes simplicity can be golden, I just hope the game won't become too convoluted that people will loose interest in it.

I bought the PS4 at launch because it was the Stronger console. I bought the xbox one used for $400 complete with Kinect. I'm sure if I waited longer I could have gotten it cheaper. Trying to buy a PS4 used but the prices were no difference from a new console. (PS4 holds their value, xbox ones do not hold their value.)
I have mine horizontal. With the PS3 It would make the counter hot underneath it. So I figured the PS4 would do the same thing. I had went to HomeDepot got 3/4" x 36" square wood dowel. Cut it to the width of the PS4 painted it black and added felt padding sticker (to not scratch the system.) Which it turns gets it off the counter so there air flow underneath it too to keep it cool.
Side note: I went to two Gamestops and there was easily 30 people at each site p...

Looks like last generation games were running on minimum setting. Now they are pushing the lever over to maximum setting for next generation. Nice way to save money and maximize profits. I sure once the install base gets over 1 to 2 million then they will invest the money to develop a new engine. It's probably no different from previous generation changes.

It's all pretty mute. Until you get the console and games in hand to actually critique the game play for ourselves this is all speculation. All the games M$ showed only one or two games that interested me. PS had more interesting original games than the cookie cutter game design MS had. Ryse was real boring to me. The same combat strikes over and over again. It was like looking at a 360 game for an example. They had limited game movement.

Happy for Ninetendo but I'm still waiting for them to come out with something more powerful in a hand held. (Something more Vita like.)
Gamestop is another kink in the chain. They take advantage of those poor young gamers. Sony and the Gaming Public influenced MS. Gamestop was ready to take everyone's money either way. Article sounds like a free publicity plug.

They were putting the wallet ahead of themselves thinking that they can do this and expect everyone to pay full price for their games. Paying $1 for a phone game is different than asking $60 for a game that you can't sell, rent, trade or play offline. Things might of been different if MS said we will sell all these games starting at $20 or something as a trade off for a MS controlled market.

Microsoft is trying to sell its console like a cell phone. What they don't understand paying a dollar for a game that you can't transfer, sell or trade is different then asking people to pay $60 dollars for a game that you can't transfer, sell or trade.
Enjoy the game now. Once the servers go down that's the end of the game. It's a limited time engagement. It's hard to see it last ten years unless there is more changes to content. It's been hard for people to let go of Halo and other similar games to see Destiny in it's own light.
