We're not all like him :) just the die hards, which are the vocal minority. Everyone else I know just enjoys their games, most of them on older or cheaper hardware.

Personally the tinkering is part of the joy to me, others like the sit and play. I like naughty dog too much not to have a PlayStation though, but should they ever go their separate ways I don't see myself buying a PS5
They're raising it in Canada again, was 70 (80 for red because EBgames exclusive) but soon all will be 80
On the other hand steam controller is 60 here so technically cheaper

Only negative is the wire, but it allows you to play endlessly without motion sickness. OC gave it to me in 20, wireless is too much latency right now, but as a guitar player I'm used to walking around stage with a cord by my feet, easy not to trip on.
Nearly every preview is saying Vive blows oculus out of the water, but HTC has said it'll be a "premium" VR experience.

People are getting fed up though, especially seeing as their hardware becomes outdated so quickly (via software, lol). Sales are dropping everywhere but US and Japan.

Seeing as the latest leak mentioned optional optical drives, easy development on phones, tablets, portables and home consoles, I'm hoping Nintendo has a multi-tier platform :) maybe a 1440p/4k model, keep the wiiu and a standard NX for 1080p, that would be stellar

Actually I bought a 2TB HDD with the savings from not paying taxes with some to spare, especially if you're into the 1yr disc coverage (I get lifetime warranty and theft proof! :D). I pay 15% on physical goods where I am though, but seeing as I almost always buy day 1 on PS4 it's worth it.
I pay for the game, the theme, the warranty, h*** even the effort to change the disc if you want to think of it that way, but no tax ;) and pay less!
You only get 1 digital preorder refunded through Sony, their policy.
You're the only other person who I know that's felt like that, I hated the combat. Haven't tried BB yet, but I agree, however as timmyp53 said there has to be incentive there too, emotionally, or at least with single player games.
