oh yeah already established game franchises its not such a big deal, like you say GTA and mario people are always going to buy those. but whne it comes to brand new IPs its different and thats where E3 comes in. it gets the core fans talking and the rest of the people hear about it from word of mouth most of the time.
if watchdogs for example never showed a trailer at a conference or any game play and just stuck some adverts on the side of a bus or...

how can it not make any business sense? if these companies with new IPs where to just put a release date on a game and send it to shop without any announcement or conferences like E3 you think it would sell the same units as if it was showing at E3, not a chance. and that's called business.

Better off aiming it at EA or Ubisoft, they are the ones calling the shots on DRM.
R* obviously knew about this. surely they have to release on next gen as well as current. maybe that's there intentions though to milk more money, they know a lot of people will buy twice, plus release a pc version along with a next gen verison.

bring the series back to the good old days, the tom clancy games need to make a big come back. splinter cell, ghost recon and rainbow six. the all was once big players at the start of this gen and fizzled away due to COD dominance.

the engine still looks like one of the best around so why not, just on the ps4 they can pop it ot 1080p and 60fps. no need for a new engine for a few years yet from these guys.
ill be doing the same. and probably end up getting the pc version as well. its the only game i will d that with just because of how fun it is with friends online.
