It's really confusing me to be honest how people are calling the world's bland and lifeless. Because war stricken Afghanistan / Africa are going to have cities full off people. It is a pretty accurate representation of what that place would be like given the circumstances.
I am not feeling this problem as from the get go I haven't really thought of it as an open world like I will be when I go into fallout say. I'm playing it as we have played every other meta...
That amount of time spent of troubleshooting / bug finding albeit on such a big game is still a very respectable time to spend on fixing bugs.
i hope the time is spent on that though as im sure most other devs would spend that time on creating DLC these days hence the amount of broken games we tend to see.
i heard turning off the HUD makes a good improvement to being challenging and exploring as your not just following the dotted line on a little map.
I can't do without it to be honest i wish it had a compass type hud as an alternative. you still see the world but still follow a route.
I started on death march then after the first little fight after the tuts i got put off and changed it right down to normal. after about 10 hours i was finding to easy to started again and like you said after a few hours get a few levels higher a new sword or 2 and your well on you're way.
as for not needing multiple play throughs for trophies, make sure you keep your eyes on that gwent card list to collect them all. some are easily missable and then they are gone.
wouldn't mind fallout 3 being added to PS now so i can finish off the DLC i never got around to doing. i never finished new vegas at all but i played that on pc. i would happily play through both again before fallout 4 but im still to busy with Witcher for the time being.
Its the only thing we ALL have a true opinion on as no one know anything else about game play or mechanics or story, so its going to be the main thing people focus on until we find out more and experience it.
I for one think it looks great, i think the image of it is fitting with the time period it represents in a way.

on paper i would have said people wouldn't like these things ( to be fair a lot of people wait for them all released myself included) but im surprised how many people have taken to them.
I remember the first telltale game i played, Their Tales of Monkey Island. i thought they did an absolutely fantastic job considering it was a highly loved franchise by me and it was their first attempt at it. i would love to see them do another.

The thing is those updates you get every now and then sometimes they unlock a bit more power, which gives the devs more to work with. why unleash everything day one when you want the console selling for 7 years or so.common sense

Give me a linear fully written and understood story with one ending that people can actually discuss. Rather than just asking someone "what ending did you get".

maybe at their E3 they will announce a November release, i mean that trailer was gameplay, its been 5 years since new vegas and its the same engine. its not impossible at all. maybe that will be the surprise.

i said on another post. 2 years between fallout 3 and new vegas. its been 5 years since then. i wouldn't be surprised if the release is close.
Especially with them showing a trailer like this and still having their own presentation at E3, maybe the release date and details at E3.
