To this day, Destiny is the most disappointing game of all time for me. As many of you probably know by now, I'm a huge Halo fan and when I heard Bungie was creating something new, it was hard to not be excited. It was my most anticipated game. The way I envisioned the promises Bungie made years prior to it's release was something along the lines of Halo gameplay meets Diablo raiding and looting with large world maps the size of Fallout and a compelling sci-fi universe like Mass Effec...
@Ermac_Wins Oh I thought you meant that you bought an Xbox One to solely play 360 games. My bad. I guess it makes sense if the games you want to play are BC but even then having a 360 is still worth it since a lot of games still aren't BC or may never be.
And it's official, this game is going to be insane. I've loved all of Joe Staten's work aside from Destiny. One of the most passionate about what he does.
Hope we get more info on ReCore soon. This just shot it up to one of my most anticipated on Staten's involvement alone.
Because Xbox.
Uhh I love backward compatability as much as the next guy but that should never be the #1 reason to buy a console. It'd be cheaper to just get a 360 and have the full 360 catalog instead of a fraction.
That's fair. I mean before I had Live way back in the early days of the original Xbox, I could keep replaying levels from Halo CE and Halo 2 and still have fun each time. I don't get that with Halo 5. I mean I've always loved Halo's story but Halo 5 doesn't have much to warrant another few runs through it. The sense of awe and mystery seems gone to fit in set pieces and it's disappointing. Halo 4 had a similar problem but made up for it by having a great story.
Some of my fondest gaming memories took place in MW2 multiplayer. That was what everyone in school was playing at the time and I remember having full 8 man parties everyday and getting lost in time playing until late hours of the night.
Sure the game had it's list of issues but that didn't stop me clocking in like 25 days of playtime.
There will never be a Call of Duty in the vein of CoD 4 and MW2 again. It's the reason I gave up on the series. If...
Yeah I agree, campaign had so much potential with the marketing behind it. From the marketing it felt like reverse Halo 2 where Chief is deemed a traitor like Arby was and Locke being the new blood could have added a whole new dynamic. Shame the writer specialized in comics and it didn't translate well to a video game.
...Multiplayer on the other hand is a different beast entirely. It's easily the best competitive shooter on consoles right now, actually the best FPS. ...
Between Reach, 4, and 5, Halo 5 is easily the better one. I don't think any MP game will ever beat out 1-3 for me with and without my nostalgia glasses. Halo 5 is definitely the next best thing though. I'm really excited to see where Halo 6's MP will go following 5.
There's still no FPS better than Halo. Haven't put 5 down since release and while it still needs some things added and or ironed out, it's the best FPS so far on current gen.
No console has ever been perfect. You're entitled to your opinion but there are still kinks that need to be ironed out on Xbox One. Even with that said, we're being spoiled with how fast Xbox gets updates only to realize we're only 2 years into it's life. The 360 matured slower in comparison.
I still think Xbox One's current dashboard/OS is the best I've ever used on a console and even though I was a primarily Xbox 360 gamer last gen, I thought the PS...
I have high hopes for this game.
Life is Strange deserves GOTY nominations. One of the best experiences this generation.
Halo is my first for many reasons but then again when I play Mass Effect I usually say it's tied for first. It's just been like 2-3 years since I've played Mass Effect all the way through the trilogy.
It's not even really Bioware I'm worried about when it comes to making a game on par or better, it's EA and their corporate trash that scares me. It'll just be hard to top the emotional attachment I had to the universe grounded in the trilogy. In my o...
I really hope this game lives up to the trilogy. Mass Effect is my 2nd favorite game franchise of all time.
Just need to see gameplay.
The beta was awesome. It's the perfect balance of competitive and stupid fun so anyone can enjoy it. Plus the 60fps makes it the smoothest current gen third person game on consoles.
I never played Uncharted for it's multiplayer before but I'm excited for both the campaign and MP this time around.
Uncharted 4 is going to be special.
The Original Xbox is to this day still my favorite console. It was my PS2 in a sense.
10/10
All of the Uncharted games are easily a 9 or better. The Last of Us is a straight 10 in my book. CTR > Mario Kart. Naughty Dog is one of the few developers that consistently make amazing games. Their track record proves that.
B-b-but I can't play it so it must be bad! /s
It's 2008 already?
