Exactly. Which is why articles like this shouldn’t be approved on this site regardless of whether they are related to gaming or not.
30 fps is 30 fps regardless of platform
Staten said on Twitter that he was brought on as Project Lead.
Don’t get too excited. It’s for Oculus VR only.
If you have a gaming PC, there's no reason to buy one at all. Just get a Game Pass sub, and you can play all of their first party titles on PC when they release.
They probably weren’t expecting that level of backlash.
And, knowing Nvidia, will probably cost $1500+
@StoneyYoshi
Absolutely! 343 made almost all of the same mistakes with Infinite that Bungie made with Destiny.
Because they switched engines and lost their creative director halfway through the game’s development. That’s how.
@anast
“Previous knowledge” means nothing if you have bad management.
Look at Bungie and Destiny. 343 is repeating almost exactly what Bungie did when they were making Destiny.
A franchise that is now being handled by a studio that didn’t create it.
Also, this game has not had the smoothest development. It was originally designed on Unreal Engine 4, but then they swapped to the Slipspace Engine. They also lost the creative director halfway through development.
Not the smoothest dev cycle.
Since PS4 has out sold Xbox almost 2:1 this gen and Microsoft hasn’t done enough (in my opinion) to convince people to buy a Series X, it wouldn’t surprise me.
Since it is releasing on both PS5 and PC, I hope it is successful and has a healthy playerbase.
People also need to remember that people have left Blizzard, gone to other studios/tech companies, and gotten SIGNIFICANT pay raises.
Meanwhile, that greedy, heartless shit, Bobby Kotick get $40 Million a year.
If it is $500 Million, that is not all development. That figure would include marketing costs as well.
I’ve been on Xbox since the 360, but I have regretted buying a One for about the last year or so.
I made the decision to go where the games are for this coming gen, and I was hoping Microsoft would give me a reason to buy the Series X. They failed miserably. Nothing they’ve showed thus far has made me feel like I have to have the Series X. Sony is the exact opposite.
Hell, at this point I’d buy a PS5 just to play Ratchet & Clank.
I’m already excited for the PS5. Not so much the Series X.
I was hoping that MS would show some exclusive titles that would make me want to buy the Series X. While Halo Infinite looks fun, that wasn’t enough. Most of the titles from the studios they’ve acquired are most likely at least 2 years away from release. I was very disappointed.
I also want to see a remake of Grandia 2. Same story and voice cast, but new visuals.
Honestly? After Halo got delayed, other than it being the more powerful of the two consoles and Game Pass, there really isn’t one. This is coming from someone that has been mainly an Xbox gamer since the 360.
