actually almost all PS3 exclusives are single playthroughs that need to be traded in after.
I used to have a ps3. You just can't play Heavy Rain, GOW3, and Uncharted again after you beat it.
This is the glaring issue with story driven games. This is why modding exists on the pc side. Oh you beat fallout? Try this mod where you get next to no ammo and have to drink & eat every so often or you'll die.
MW2 would have been fun if it didn't try to shove matchmaking down our throats on the pc side. That's actually when I turned on the series.
Cod4 Promod was a very well done. I played a few seasons when it ran through CAL. It never took off in the competitive scene after when they announced it being a yearly series. There's just too much time you need to invest if you're serious about playing competitively.
@Bednet
There's always internet polls.
if you mean charging the same price and in some instances more than physical media. Yeah they learned that it doesn't work that way.
N4G poll says 85% of gamers don't plan on reading this article.
This guy.
It always brings a smile to my face when console gamers go on about the console being cheaper for this reason. I know the next steam sale is going to get me about 20-30 games for about 50 bucks.
Now PS users have to pay to play online. on top of paying 10-15 more per game. It seriously isn't worth the price of admission.

Doesn't matter. They know Battlefield is about to explode on consoles and Madden/Fifa fans have been lost to the EA machine.
Current generation console gamers don't know the concept of speaking with their wallets. Sucks to be you guys as I've said my peace with Battlefield after being a hardcore fan of the series since pre 1942 launch over 10 years ago.
Trost is a perfect setting for an open world / Assassins creed like game. 3D maneuver gear done right could be fun as hell.
understandable. The whole shtick about MMO's is that you are to spend countless hours grinding for an endgame social life.
It translates to roughly $5/hr to people that have put hundreds of hours into their character and sell it for $1k. It's even worse for the seller if it was their main they've put years into. It's actually a better deal for the buyer.
He jumped to a ship that is engulfed in a raging inferno and has a double decker bus sized hole in its hull.
hardly win for him or M$. He's gonna be the guy that put Zynga out of business.
It's a win win for gamers.
Which is strange considering ff11 is played across, PC, PS2, 360, and some ps3's.
Well I know SE pretty much bowed down to M$'s will for the 360 version and swore they wouldn't do it again.
The way the next-gen pre-game show is going on I wouldn't be surprised to see M$ getting rid of this "we don't negotiate with terrorists" attitude. They're on the right track so far reversing their policies and getting rid of Mattrick. I...
Yes it's what YOU want, and what PC gamers have wanted for years. Developers to actually start utilizing the hardware that's out. But it looks like Dev's just wanted to copy & paste while just adding high res textures...
self correction: GTA 1 started on both pc/ps1
so that made all of us wrong.
All the other titles started off exclusive to PC
you know most of these franchises that go on to be stupidly successful start on pc. To me it states that it was never created to appeal to a wide audience but to a niche hardcore audience. Some developers continue to build on what made it successful. Some lose their way completely and take the franchise with them.
Call Of Duty
Battlefield
Elder Scrolls
Grand Theft Auto
Rainbow Six
The Witcher
Fallout
Metro
Good products end up making a profit.
Doesn't mean a product made for profit is good.
There is a difference and some companies do believe in that mindset. Don't bash the guy because he's not waving your flag. He came out and was straight to the point. No backpedaling or sidestepping.
they're going to announce that kinect is no longer a requirement then a kinectless x1 for $399
They'll also reiterate that there will bo no 24 hour checkin, no account locked games, and a free market trade for games. Basically like 360 does it.
That's about their best bet after the e3 conundrum.
it's the console version of bf3 vs. the pc version of bf4...facial textures makes it obvious. My version of bf3 looks nothing like that.
people that bash ff7 are the same people that go on and on about how ff6 is the best game in the series. It's one of those I played Final Fantasy before it was cool hipster trends.
my beef is when games come out and get destroyed with negative reviews for being something that's been done before, or more of the same.
Every year you know what you're getting with CoD...yet every year it gets a free pass with the big sites because of Activisions advertising revenue. So with me it's no longer about the game. But about how it's blatantly exposing the game journalism industry for what it is.
$$$ = high scores....Not a lawyer b...
There's also the issue with consoles now where game saves like to go corrupt. At least on the PC you can back them up easy.
There's also that issue where DLC isn't held back because the hardware can't run it.
Just sayin.
