Some of the ones you mentioned are great but outdated and majority of them to me are read till your eyes bleed slow.
In my opinion, Dark Souls does not even come close to Mass Effect 2.
Mass Effect 2 has a strong narrative, well developed characters, lore lore lore, so many species, living breathing cities, so many distinct and well realised worlds, fantastic use of cover based shooting with biotics and such, cinematics, dramatic and epic moments, helluva soundtrack etc etc etc I could go on and on.The rpg elements and the game itself is far superior to dark souls. Have played a large amount of Rpg/JRPG/ARPG and whatever mutation of rpg you want to call it. Those are actually the cream of the crop. Not just for rpg elements but as overall games too. They were unique and definitely brought the G(game) in the term RPG. Many others have some elements that were role playing or hard core in some ways to some ppl but this list is the top notch.
It will be a stellar hit. Mark my words.
Old artstyle, unoriginal and forced weird settings and characters, horrendous story, too much flashes in the effects and gunplay that its hard to enjoy any particular thing, slightly floaty controls, meh moba, meh almost every other department.
Hard to do a last minute cram. Its not like buying parts off newegg.
The company strategy is a long term thing. Budget, tech plans, fabrication, consumer pricing, prepping devs with dev kits etc etc
