To me max payne was Neo noir more than traditional film noir.
The crazy cardboard cutout sequence, the dream scene, his wife sequence in the house with dramatic lighting,etc.
Max Payne to me was a dose of alcohol when soda was popular.
Totally intoxicating.
This one is a modern cocktail of the two. Enjoyable in a confused time in a confusing gaming year of the decade.

One issue I have with the game:
They need to remove the GHOSTLY static hands. It was acceptable in Skyrim and before but if DICE could do it in 2009 then I bet they could too 4 years later, make it more alive. Or not?

Regardless of the subjectivity of our choices the numbers speak for themselves. The numbers do not credit or discredit the map design itself tho.

Nuketown ws the only map that felt like call of duty, other maps got confused between bf and cod thus no one ever played em, Everyone wanted a quick fix

Its an extension of Battelfield, it does not reflect the overall game, treat it as a dlc as it claims to be.
