Just reading your first paragraph makes me happy there is some people around here who aren't so useless. Sick of everyone judging bloody games on how god damn good looking they are. There is lots of fantastic games out there, good looking or not, exclusive or not, and so forth.

I wonder how many people ACTUALLY played Nuts and bolts here. That was a fantastic game and incredibly underrated due to everyone claiming it 'sucked' without actually playing it. That being said games like Kinect Sports I couldn't care less about.

Big game developers will only usually play it safe these days. It is more so because of the state the industry is in rather than developers being pussies. A lot of new IP's don't succeed enough so they stick to franchises. (And yes I know there has been some very successful new IP's in the past 1-2 years) Gears will likely continue, I mean why drop a series that is popular and has good sales?
Plenty of great multi-plat's to keep people busy for the entire year as it is.

It still sold pretty darn well before the bundling. And when you compare to how much of an impact the franchise has in comparison to GT it deserves some praise. But meh this is N4G, it is Sony biased.
God this shit is back again? Forza sold bloody well and even with GT5 having higher sales won't stop that. But it isn't surprising GT5 would overtake it at some point. It is much more established series and one that has got itself into the main spotlight of racing games.
I was like 'YES' then noticed it was almost 6 gigs and got mad. Freaking here in New Zealand our bandwidth sucks. Shouldn't waste that much on a short beta :/
BC2 already looks better than COD by a mile. BF3 is going to look great on consoles from how DICE delivers, and then absolutely mind blowing on PC.
