^ almost all games refered above are done under the COD archetype. Not that COD invented lobbies, xp/leveling, challenges, custom classes, badges, match length etc., but the package of these parts sumed is the COD archetype, the ultra dominant pattern from the last gen that still affects recent games.

I can understand, therefore, someone looking for "good mp" experiences when he is sick of playing under the same rules over and over again on almost very competitive g...

Even with the possibility of hitting the jackpot through AAA, the safest money is in F2P now.

And yes, they're close to opposite.

"Titanfall did nothing for the FPS."

To see how much this statement is wrong (tip: completely), just read anything about this year's COD and BF. Just to start, Titanfall made them both add vertical movement.

After playing hours of Titanfall, it is hard to play any other MP FPS game where you are a turtle glued to the ground. I'm not even close to being the only one saying this...

It has tons of places for improvement, but it...

You do know that FPS and open world are two completely different things, right?

The "purpose" is to reach the center of the universe, where the game is much harder. Behind it is the exploration and discovery, aside from space battles and randomness. This has been talked over and over again already.
The reason you will know when the game is released.

I don't see it being overhyped, but heavily promoted. No one is saying "it will change everything", "best graphics ever" or "you'll be shocked by the storyli...

We know which would be the frame rate: the same poor it was on the end of the last generation, when most AAA games ran consistently below 30 FPS.

The pressure to higher resolution and better graphics will have the same disastrous impact it had in the last years. Then, since the performance is never an issue on trailers, it doesn't sell games and graphics will always be higher on the 'must have' marketing list.

We have to enjoy the solid performanc...

I'm glad to see the agrees.
Sometimes people here is fooled too easily, up to the ridiculous points of people actually believing this year's COD will revolutionize.
When it comes to Sony, damn, zealots all around.

It was deserved for both sides. Brazilian teams are a joke in the last three cups and it seems that, with decent referees, this time throwing themselves on the ground and faking injuries wasn't enough. There's no love at any of Brazilian players as well, no indignation, no real sense of proudness. The ultra lazy players had it coming.

On the other hand, congrats to Germany for a perfect match.

Is it more of the same or actually worse?

Also, gameplay-wise, how does it fare against the two precedent masterpieces?

After Watch Dogs, Batman Arkham City is the next on my list. Then I plan to buy Arkham Origins.

Do you like the game?

Infamous SS is the worst Infamous already done. It is bland, the combat is boring and shots completely lack impact. This comes from a huge Infamous fan (platinum'd the 2nd, almost the first, 100% the vampire DLC).

I have played it and don't even consider it as GOTS (semester, derp) contender.

Titanfall to me. Watch Dogs will also be relevant due to its treatment to NPCs personality, but I can't see any other contribution.

I'd say Titanfall is the most important game this far. It forced both CoD and Battlefield to insert vertical movement on this so stale genre.
Is the game perfect? Far, very far from it. But to me it is the most influential by far.

Long live the overhype.

I foresee lots of angry disappointed gamers when the game releases. Based on the 'alpha', it seems good, but ABSOLUTELY nothing groundbreaking.

Apart from the commercials and friendly marketing, where the hell are people taking these megalomaniac ideas about this game being so 'revolutionary' or even so important from?

When the game comes out, remember: it is your fault that you bought their marketing s...

Scheduled for 2015/2016. Nice to know that it will be actually released in 2017.
Until the delay announcement, I don't put games on the anticipation list anymore.

About the style, we had lots of styles about 5 years ago, then black and white and pixels for indies and ultra realistic for AAA. Now we can see the eye popping coming (this, Fortnite, No Man's Sky, Sunset Overdrive). Don't even need to say that in some few years "everyone" will hate ey...
