Let's be honest. Smb 2 is the best game with Mario in the title. It is not traditional Mario but a fantastic game full of secret doors and rooms etc... Grabbing and throwing came from that game. The different play styles for characters came from that game. Doors and keys came from that game etc... Smb 2' influence cannot be denied. Sony is in a power position because they are known for games. Their studios are liked to loved by the core now. They really can't lose. Naughty dog and Bungie on the same console is massive.

So much agree with this post. It is not about the consoles features it is about WHY the consoles have the features that they do. This is "for the love of money" features not to improve gaming in any way shape or form. Why are people so blind these days? What is happening to people these days? Are people watching to much Glee or The Office or Parks and Rec to dumb you down to a sheep?
Everyone should really relax because ND in all honesty is the best in the business and even IF they don't have the "technically" most visually impressive game they will probably have one of the most visually appealing game. They HAVE NOT made not even one bad game. NOT EVEN ONE bad game. They are the best IMHO. I don't know what they really have to do better but just compete with themselves or challenge themselves with an action RPG or something. I HAVE NO DOUBTS in this dev...

Omar91 you are correct. This was a simple decision on Sony's part and the PS3 is now very important and strategic for Sony because it is not future proof in the GPU but the PS3 will survive for a while yet if it is supported and could get some next gen ports for games that are not resource intensive. Blu-ray for the win.
You know nothing about games if you consider Uncharted one of the greatest artistic, technical and well paced games series of all time as overated. Kirby or Mario are overated and dated BUT are fun in their simplicity and charm. Uncharted and Infamous are underapreciated. When we lack the appreciation for quality we get crappy games. Uncharted controls well, has collectibles, AI, great level designs that allow for a variety of tactics even from the first game in the series. I am dumb founded ...

I like this list and agree with every single one ESPECIALLY the number one. Without ME, UC, Bioshock, Rockstar and Elder scrolls series' this gen would not be epic. Honorable mention goes to Rocksteady with Arkhum games and Sucker punch with the Infamous series.

No question FF7 and for me FF7 Crisis Core ending. Zack is the best FF character of all time for me... and its not even funny man. Honorable mentions MGS3 and 4 and Legend of Dragoon.
Scary thing is you could be close to being right. I think that it is some sort of kart racer that will be modnationesque. It will be good because Rare did make Diddy Kong racing. If it is not a kart racer than it is pointless because they still have the PGR brand. Come to think of it they could make some sort of PGR spin off karting game. Who knows? If true I am intrigued because it is Rare and they still have developer name clout for me.
The depths in which people will justify this console is beyond me. The machine is a spying device plain and simple. From what you watch, do and play they are with the NSA. You are voluntarily like Facebook and twitter adding to their databases info about you for allsorts of purposes that have nothing to do with making our lives better.
