If psp2 does not have 3D support it will be because of either two things.
1.)Its too expensive to implement on the already powerhouse and power hungry system.
2.)Nintendo owns the patent for 3D handhelds.
Well this kinda sucks because of the capitalist approach Sony has.....I was hoping for backward compatibility with all ps2 games provided via firmware.....Now I have to rebuy my old games....my ps2 kicked the bucket after 7years....and we are charged 200$+ in South Africa for ps2s so I guess I will have to buy another one. I guess we shall never have 100% ps2 backwards compatibility

Wow....I can't wait for this program...Its amazing how our industry is so important advances in other industries....I will cheering the day the computational science through super computers helps to cure Aids pandemic or cancer....I think companies need to make these things heard commercially to help fund them and folding home is just one of the first huge commercial recognized know steps....without us gamers Companies like Intel,AMD and Nvidia would not have the as huge funds for R&D...
What pc and ps3 gamers fail to see is its not about graphics. It never ever was. Funny how ps3 gamers always boast about there console's graphical power to xbox gamers who say its not about graphics but rather the games to only have pc gamers do the exact same thing to Ps3 owners who then Ironically say the same thing, Its not about graphics plus ps3 has all the exclusives. I think Naughty Dog will do a trilogy of the Uncharted games before working on the Next Jak and Daxter game....maybe give us 3 more games of Jak games but I am sure the creative talent at Naughty Dog will after a Jak and a Uncharted game will make a New IP.

I thought the ps3 had 2Tflops of processing power...anyways the reason why Gpus struggle to output ray tracying demos is because ray tracying is a Cpu intensive task. I recall the cell beating a lot of new entry gpus in the market on those demos so I think next generation Cpus will determine if its possible or not. Thing is if Ps4 releases in 2015-2016 than those specs I posted are highly possible....@balloutpenny..... .why should Sony use HVD when they have their own format and have invested billions into growing the install base of blu ray? especially now that its started to catch on,is the industry standard and is being adopted....why start another format war especially given that blu ray is upgradable tech and the fact that Next Gen games won't really need more than 100GB?HVD is a no go especial...
For anyone saying that 5+ hours into the game will be boring and lackluster...you obviously must be gaming noobs.
