I hope the nextBox fixes the issues we have with longer and expensive dev cycles,not enoough indie support,closed online platform,small amount of ram Vs CPU/GPU power,cheaper royalties per game sold,cheaper dev kits,easier multiplat development across all platforms(because an inferior product and a competitior product actually hurts the industry more than help it),free online(because online gaming should be free as you are not playing a complete game you paid for).
I still dont understand why Mircosoft does nt start making some internal studios,it just amazes me...We need more games like these and building a first party is where to start...I would not mind all this kinect family games if they had 10 of their own internal Devs making triple A games. Hats of to Remedy...I think they might want to double up thier internal team as they did not have the man power to make this a sandbox game as originally intended.
I love how fighting games are making a return to form in this generation saturated with FPS..but one thing about this game still turns me of...the Tekken Characters move list seem dull in comparision to the Streetfigher characters,even their special moves which is weird because Tekken Characters have amazing and huge move list its almost as if they have being dubbed down.....does anybody feel the same? There's a 4 year Gap between GT3 and GT4 so this really leaves GT 6 to release in late 2014 if one takes in mind that GT 5 released in late november 2010.I know a lot never made it into GT5 still,knowing how ambitious Kaz is. Point is the release of GT6 will actually explain the speculation of when Sony will release its next gen Home console.PD always releases 2 GT games every gen and and just how GT 3 had a small amount of cars in comparison 181 to be exact compared to GT4 722, I believe...

Tekken 6 was the worst Tekken ever made.Cnt believe namco made us wait 4years for it....and for a debt of a next gen tekken it was even more worse.Tekken5,Tag,T3 and 2 were good......T6 and T4 were horrible......since bandiNamco merger namco not da same...I hope TTT2 is them back to form.....
So what if it is cryteks!?Unreal is the easiest engine to use and unity is the best when it comes to working with multiple platforms with a small amount of time. At the end of the day it does not matter how big the canvas is ie(feature rich an engine is) if the very artist can't make use the space(multiple platforms) and display artistic creativity and innovation(gameplay).
Last I remember Cryengine3 did not Push PC,PS3&Xbox360 to its limits and neither did crysis2....

Think one thing that can be factored is if Sony,Nintendo and M$ reduced licensing fees by 2% to 5%.Also the decrease of Dev kits will also be a factor...The problem is as generations pass the need for more artist is required as well as more labour as games are more social then they were before....but the biggest issue I see is game engines...if they find some way when building engines to decrease the amount of time it takes to create assets then we can see games become way cheaper.The better ...
whatever the specs of the PS4 are.I really hope we get better games whilst we enjoy this generation....with that all in mind I have to admit in terms of games..this is the worst generation ever so I really hope more importantly that software catches up with hardware and goes beyond..all this considered this generation will be the most remember for one thing alone...introduction of DLC,motion gaming and 3rd party exclusives became the way of the Dodo
I honestly think MGS5 will be a ps3 exclusive but ZOE3 will be multiplatform since the fan base is smaller and its a more risker game.The next MGS on NGP will be an NGP exclusive and will be between MGS2 and MGS4 using the MGS4 engine that will be modified and optimised for portable gaming...The team that handled Lord of the shadows will hand ZOE3...ZOE3 will have gameplay elements that may use kinectic and PS move...oh and Kojima will never bring trophie support to MGS4.....
I hope that next gen games require less manditory installs...But no matter how impressive next gen graphics are,we will still have to deal with invisiable walls and limitations in the enviroment...so next gen what I would like is if I can see it I can go to it like Skyrim as well as a focus on AI programming so that if you play a stage twice it never plays the same like bioshock...So dynamic AI is what will be next gen in my opinion.
