"Xbox One hardware is maximizing the ESRam usage but this has to be programmed manually."
What is that even suppose to mean?! Clueless comment.
"With the PS4 you just have one unified memory pool for resources."
Again! Both have they're form of HSA and if anything Xbox One has a larger coherent memory bus of 30GB/s. RIDICULOUS!
"The most important aspect for visual parity will b...
Well, Microsoft has more experience with indie developers so might provide a better service for them to facilitate sells. History says so, but at the end of it...their indies!
Either way they'll be on PCs and any accessible device, at least a significant amount of indie games.
EDIT:
@xHeavYx
Microsoft offers the same option.
"We’re going to see as the games go head to head. A lot of it will come down to – as always – which exclusive teams push a piece of hardware best.”
Well, there ya go. Microsoft's statement that they're going full throttle for first party development, compared to current gen which was next to zero...FINALLY!
Oh boy is it going to get interesting, especially on next-gen?! couldn't be a better timing.
*Weeping in tears of joy*
EDIT:
*Sniffs around and realizes it's a pile of crap*
It's not like that!
Anyways, this makes a lot of sense in contrast to what some believing that Linux can actually be in general use.
However, this is real good for developers and "will" change to scope of how developers and gamers interact. Hope they can have some type of cloud computing where they can greatly enhance there Source Mod Manager.
Wow!
I'm getting pretty interested in this now.
The only reason never was interested is because they haven't shown the story or single player gameplay. But I understand, ya save the best for last.
Darn it, now I'm a bit stretched on next gen!
@iamnsuperman
Very true!
If anything aside from bluray, Sony's first party studios was the huge factor in them doing a comeback with the PS3.

"This make me wonder... Did he simply try to make people think that Killzone is a Xbox game ? I know its unlikely but... we've all seen this."
Get over yourself. He's smarter than you, simply because your not bright enough to control your delusion of thinking in that sense.
It makes sense that it would function seamless through TV feed because their is not UI confrontations, but their would be in the case of hooking up PS4...
Come on, where are the Xbots...this is your chance fellas!
NO?!
You guys are better than that?!
Oh okay...

This "worldwide servers" your on about, doesn't exist! Because if your referring to Rackspace (OpenStack), then you are confusing uses and terms here buddy.
OpenStack is only a Infrastructure As a Service(IAAS), and ONLY uses virtual servers for their "SERVICES". Companies need their own servers to utilize it. It's only a cloud software implementation for computing. And by computing, I mean by scaling mass uses to handle redunda...
@gaffyh
"Devs say it is 50% more powerful, that's the smoke. MS has still not released the full specs, Sony hasn't released much at all."
Of course it's the smoke, and why you been "fogged" by that tid bit of info. And for you to go out your way and say it's NOT ABOUT optimization shows you know NOTHING.
Raw components mean nothing if you can't integrate them together and optimize it. That is why we are...
1080p 60fps here we come!
"I DON'T WANNA MISS A THANG!"
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Yeah, LinuxMint. But if you knew better you wouldn't even bother suggesting Linux for gaming or just general use.
Besides, if anything I doubt Gabe Newell would even suggest it. You guys are missing the point, because simply you guys don't know what your on about.
@Ju
....-_-
What a bunch of malarky. I can peer right pass your gibberish. You actually had to explain in paragraphs to prove irrelevant points. Lack of con...
@Ashlen
Sorry man, your just full of it. And act as if you actually ran a gaming company that use multiplayer feature heavily.
It should be clear to ANYONE with a bright mind, that if you see developers making this a big deal...IT'S A BIG DEAL! And makes a lot of sense.
@Scoot182
Sony's Gaikai "cloud structure", is nothing more than "game streaming". Anything more than that, than you don't know...
^
So tell me, have you actually used Linux as easy as Windows?! 0.o
If so, given that you just might be a fellow user...CAN YOU SERIOUSLY ADMIT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE THE SHEEPLES WILL KNOW HOW TO OPERATE LINUX????
So once again, for developers using it to make great and unique games, hell yes. For "general" use....NOPE!
@Volkama
I know that, I run my 64 bit software off my SSD and and the rest like games with no 64 bit support off my 1TB HDD.
There was a moment when there was an outcry to Sony in why they were using only 4 gigs, but eventually they upgraded it. That is what Nomura was referring to.
Also, the fact that it was confirmed by Cerny himself that PS4 game development is design off the x86 architecture...ONLY! That is what trumped me and just found ...
For developers...of course!
For general use...NOPE!
@gaffyh
Come one?! Stop the BS.
You and I know very well who has been more transparent with their architecture.
No one sets a Hot Chips presentation if you don't have anything to show, especially in this case the most obvious.
If there was anything unique during those presentations, don't you think Sony would have been along side AMD and Microsoft at Hot Chips showcasing the new APUs (HSA designs)?
E...
Aside from specs since when, what have they really show us?! I guarantee you can't come up with anything.
Beside hUMA, which doesn't make sense since it hasn't been released yet, but either way both consoles use HSA naturally. I have not come across anything as of yet.
Which is very suspicious.
Finally some sense!
Will it help games developers? YES!
Will Linux EVER replace Windows for general use?!...NO! And that is to you fanboys who keep transitioning this idea of consoles wars to OS.
