No, I think accessibility is a big deal for the first wave and price of course.
About GPU's in a few years you're correct. But then were talking PS5 and with the amount of marketshare the PS4 is controlling, the PS5 could be massive, if rolled out right.
@uth11
That too.
To a fraction of the userbase.
Less than 1%' of PCs can run virtual reality

By October the PS4 could be closing in on 50 million VR capable machines.
That's a big deal.
@coolbeans
What you posted kind of backs up what the post yesterday is saying.
That there wasn't really a game there and the first trailer wasn't accurate. That's what I take from it. It just sounds like its from the perspective of someone making excuses.
The fact they're also using public funds doesn't help.
It's the best, respect to Gizmodo.

Like usual when PC gets brought into the discussion, people severely overestimate the amount of super rigs.
I'm not overestimating by saying 100% of PS4's are capable of running PlayStation VR. This and brand awareness are massive factors, the p...
PlayStation is a very strong brand worldwide and has 10x the systems capable of using PSVR, while coming in at the lowest price.
You got things mixed up.
- PlayStation VR will have at least 45-50 million systems worldwide capable of using it by October, way more than PC's capable of running the other headsets.
- Regardless of how it's spun, PlayStation VR is the least expensive headset.
- PlayStation VR has big name titles from big name developers, like Gran Turismo, Rigs, Dreams and Star Wars exclusively.
- PlayStation has the strongest brand in gaming worldwide.
Because of this.

And complete radio silence.
@bledsoe
Sony gave them stage time and was paying for development.
I wouldn't believe a word these guys say.
There are many doubts, which is why they keep saying "we're committed".
The reality is they have positioned themselves to make major changes. If Xbox is actually a major part or not, is only known by Microsoft at this point. Even if they were going to make radical changes like stop making consoles, they would never tell you until it was time to pull the trigger.
Time will tell if they are actually committed to Xbox or not, no amount of PR ca...
No Man's Sky with VR is almost too much to handle.
Things like this, will be quite an experience.

These are the kind of details that bring my hype level to critical.
Sony said in a recent interview that they will be setting kiosks up all over the place.
This is why Sony is going to win the VR battle. Coming in at a lower price is fantastic, but having games like Gran Turismo Sport, Star Wars Battlefront, Dreams, Ace Combat, Rigs and potentially No Man's Sky during the launch window is going to drive the sales of the headset.
These aren't tech demos, these are big franchises made by big time developers.
Not really.
- Kinect is not VR, VR has games people want to play.
- The consumer version of Hololens has been delayed indefinitely.

- If VR is the "big thing" this holiday the Xbox One is going to get heavily outsold worldwide, more than they already are.
PSVR doesn'...
I would advise everyone to read this before feeling anything for Rime.

It sounds like a scam.
Agree. It basically looks like a scam at this point.
You're right, take a look at this.

Wow.
I forgot about that one and yes, it's on the short list with NMS and GTS.
@starchild
Take that up with the BBC.
