You are right about that in regards from 4 to 5. My mistake on that.
Not saying the jump isn't big, but I wouldn't say it's 2 generations big. Like compare San Andreas to GTA 5 (the closest we can get to 2 gens) to GTA 5 to 6. I agree that 6 looks a lot more detailed and makes GTA5, which I thought aged pretty well given that it was a PS360 game, look significantly dated, but I can understand why someone might be disappointed and I'm attempting to explain why that maybe the case.

I think you were expecting a San Andreas to GTA 4 type of jump especially since there was no GTA last gen so this is a 2 generation gap. This just shows that we're starting to see diminishing returns. The jump from GTA 5 to 6 less than GTA 4 to 5 which is less than the jump from San Andreas to GTA 4 which is less than the jump from GTA 2 to GTA 3 which was the biggest difference.
The S doesn't hold any consoles back! Next gen I hope they don't drop support for the S because why not? It don't hold consoles back!

Microsoft is not anti consumer. Phil Spencer is a good guy. Only Sony raises prices. I hope Phil Spencer's dream of buying Nintendo comes true sometime next year so that we can all celebrate like we did ABK acquisition!
People are never consistent when it comes to this topic. PS4 and Xbox1 holds back next gen, but the switch won't? The same people defending the series S and switch will be the first to say to drop support for the PS5 and Xbox series when next gen consoles arrive, forgetting that the same arguments they are using to defend the switch and series s can be applied to previous iterations of consoles as well.
I refuse to believe this. Good guy Microsoft does not raise prices. Only Greedy Sony does that because they have uncontested dominance over trillion dollar little guy Microsoft and sales leader Nintendo.
If this doesn't help to up subscription services for Microsoft by the allotted time frame then nothing. Otherwise a shift to sub-services being the primary way we game and the consequences that come with that.
So they got 5 years to up those subs. Let's get it going Phil!
This one again highlights that GP is Microsoft's last ditch effort and not something that they are doing because they truly believe it's more profitable than the traditional model, otherwise Sony and Nintendo would be following suit.
