The guys an analyst...if you don't like what he has to say, don't read it. There are many analysts out there making the same predictions everyday. Why is Pachter any different. He bases his opinion on trends they see is sales like everyone else. He's been right far more times than he's been wrong.

The problem is when one console maker is struggling to get things right, there fanboys don't like someone to point out the obvious. Shareholders and investors ...

First, this is a fanboy piece looking for hits. He didn't have time to play Kinect but has lots of time to complain...lol.

Maybe M$ should force gamers to pay a ridiculous amount of money like Sony to play old games. Maybe this guy would be happy then. Let's hope articles like this and Sony fleecing there core gamers to play old titles doesn't give M$ any ideas.

The PC as we no it is done...PC's will be built into EVERY TV built in a very short time. How big is a lap top. With chips twice as small and 10 times more powerful, you can expect TV's to be the PC's of the future. Think of an Apple tablet only the 52" variety. The Internet will be the future media center of the world. It is already here if you take the time to look.

Halo is definitely a big franchise but it not the only game being played on Xbox...lol

MW2 has become this generations Halo. While Halo is huge, MW2 is massive because it transcends consoles. 20+ million games sold and still going.

Gears of War has been a great game on Xbox with 12+ million games sold for the franchise.

The days of exclusives and consoles is drawing to an end. More and more TVs are coming equipped with Internet and web browsers. I...

Consoles are definitely on there way out. With more and more TVs coming with Internet connections and web browsers, you will soon have M$ gaming with the click of a button. Same for Sony and Nintendo. Turn on the TV, access the Sony channel, click on the game you want to play and there you have it. I thought On live, albeit flawed at the moment because technology has been slow to catch up, shows how gaming will be in the very near future. No discs...just a Icon on a screen and a subscription ...

What I don't understand is why M$ doesn't do more to tie there Windows 7 and xbox 360 communities together. Windows is HUGE, add 40+ million 360 gamers, 25 million of which PAY a subscription fee to play on line and you have a very strong platform to launch any tech gadget off of. On paper at least the potential is staggering.

The thing about electronics is the constant change. What is relevant today may not be relevant tomorrow. In ten years time, we may say M$, wh...

Mr Biggest, I know not of who you speak, but he must be a very intelligent and thought provoking individual for you to remember this person.

Comprehension is something you struggle with huh. Read what I posted again. I said " outside of Sony's exclusives ". The post is in regards to multi-platform games built with/on PC architecture struggling to perform on the PS3. What does that have to do with PS3 exclusives and how well/good they run/look???

Privacy is slowing disappearing. It's so gradual that nobody is noticing. they take a little here and a little there and act like its a great thing. Conspirators have talked about this kind of thing forever. It's real and it's knocking at the door. Facebook and the entire internet has allowed the Governments of the world into your home and into your lives. They see when you are logged in, what sites you visited and for how long. Facebook is easily the worse. The Russians recently ...

Anyone who is not familiar with what is discussed in this article is in denial. Recently a factory in Asia actually had workers jumping from the factory roof top and committing suicide to protest the working conditions in the factory. This factory produces high end electronics for M$, Sony and Apple to name a few. They ( workers ) receive, I believe something like $130 ( AVG ) a month in wages with forced overtime. There are changes being made now, one of them involves MOVING the factory to a...

I think over looking piracy, especially for the 360, DS, PSP and Wii, is a mistake. Piracy could account for alot of the sales problem.

The cost of games is too high, plain and simple. They want to raise the price further which will only make matters worse. The Wii with it's bad graphics and every game having the exact same game play mechanic, regardless of the title has had it's 15 mins of fame...which lasted 4 years...lol. Sony Move will suffer from the same probl...

Watching this video AGAIN only reaffirms my belief this game will never run on the PS3 looking this good. Once again the demo, like Crysis, is running on 360. All the talk about AI never being the same between the different enemy types guarantees it will not run on the PS3 at this level. Same for Crysis...heck, look at all the problems EA is having trying to get MOH to run on the platform. I know Id said the PS3 run as good or better but I doubt it. Look at RDR and how that turned out. Why d...

What I found interesting was how Digital foundry didn't want to examine the KZ 3 Demo...lol It's pre-alpha and has obvious technical issues so they will wait for the " REAL " game...REALLY, when has that ever stop them before. They love to manhandle screen shots and developer diary vids, NOW its not fair to judge a game demo until it's release. Nothing new there tho, any regular reader of Digital Foundry knows the deal. These guy's are constantly wrong until they are...

M$ plans on releasing a new xbox in November as a bundle with Kinect. M$ has said that they expect to move 5 million Kinects this holiday season. Big numbers and big talk. Still 5 months before launch and both Sony and M$ have some surprises to show...so they say.

The perfect storm will be this holiday season. Sony is launching first in September, but make no mistake, the industry is waiting to see what/how the consumers react to Kinect. It could possibly be the biggest launch,...

Interesting video, but there are far better PC tech vids than that. Crysis from several yrs ago offered more.

In terms of consoles, I think Gears 3 has out done even it's great, ground breaking standards with Gears 3. I find it hard to believe that any engine on any platform could copy the first 3 mins of this demo down below.

From the Bayonet charge melee attack ( 1:25 ), Live grenade " Digger " attack that travels under ground ( 1:35 ) to ...

Gears 1 started this gen off right. Sent the competition back to the drawing board. Gears 3 will ride out this gen in style. New enemies, new weapons, new horde mode, improved graphics...all in game as usual.

There is no competition for Unreal except Unreal itself. Bulletstorm is a worthy adversary made by a crafty developer in People Can Fly using the unreal engine also.

At 1:47 of this demo, Gears 3 lays the competition to waste. I would love to see the...

Was there any doubt. Gears started the Gen on top with Gears 1, continued it's dominance with Gears 2 and now will ride out the generation as the best new ip, best cover system, best weapons, and best animations. Nothing like it on any platform.

Gears 3 raises the bar again with New enemies, New weapons, 4 player co-op, Horde/firefight with new Beast mode and new multi-player all on an updated engine, all in game. The complete package.

Best part...you...

U-play requires gamers to sign up and provide personal information. It a direct invasion of privacy and is not necessary. I can get a job where I live with less information than Ubisoft DEMANDS from you to join there crappy U-play scam.
