Most people forget that Tomb Raider Anniversary was originally DLC for Tomb Raider Legend. That's how I own it on Xbox 360. It was later released as a stand alone game.
Buying a physical copy of a game today would feel quaint to me. I went digital only years ago.
I'm on Steam as well.
I own both PS4 and Xbox One. Some games can only be played on PS4 and some only on Xbox One. As a gaming fanatic you want the best of both worlds. So this whole console war thing seems strange to me.
Because it happened over a slow period of time. Things of this nature are only shocking when you haven't been a witness to the slow progression of it's evolution. If you showed me these graphics in 95, yes I'd be amazed but I've seen so much to get us to this point.
I've bricked a PS3 after an early beta update. I contacted Sony and showed them evidence. They replaced my PS3 for free.
Is America getting this sale?
F this service! I'm not gonna repay for streaming games that I already own on my PSN/PS3 account.
I grew up with Atari and the only thing that survived was the logo. The logo lives on. It's strange but I remember back in those days playing Adventure and Pitfall and imaging realistic 3D games in my head. Where you explore a world. All while thinking it would never be possible with the technology. I really thought I was fooling myself and would never get to see games get that far. Well they obviously have and I saw it all evolve over time. It's been an amazing trip.
Now Sony needs to bring back, Home. J/K haha
That's not what I meant. At the start of the 360 and PS3 generation. The 360 was the console to have in the first few years. Everyone was playing Gears. The hype was real. The PS3 was hurt by the $599 price tag and that terrible E3 with Riiidge Racer! Sony was so arrogant coming off the success of the PS2. They thought we'd buy it at that price. Silly Sony. PS3 didn't start to do better until the PS3 Slim and even then it took a little while but eventually they beat the 360.
You'd think that both companies, Sony and MS would have learned by now what happens when you get too arrogant.
Sony with the PS3 launch. They thought they could sell an expensive console to us. Gamers got pissed. MS came in with the 360 and stole their thunder.
Then it happened to MS with the Xbox One launch. They were gonna make it so we had to be online to play games. We had to buy it with a Kinect. All this garbage forced on us. Gamers got pissed...
I don't play games on the go. When I go outside I like to experience the outside world and not be preoccupied with a game. Gaming has always been a home or arcade thing for me. I'm old school.
All these upgraded consoles are failing. They're for people who have money to spare and there aren't many of them out there. These are strange times we're living in where consoles now get upgraded half way through their life cycle.
This game is missing a key element. It's called FUN. It's not a very fun game to play. At least for me and many others have told me the same thing. It's actually boring at times. Both to look at, play and hear. I hate to bring up SSX because it's a tired comparison, but developers should take more inspiration from it. It's a lot of fun to play, enjoyable to look at and the soundtrack is amazing. There's too many simulators being made these day and not enough fun arcade...
Learn? Nintendo isn't experimenting here. They do what they do on purpose. They're a stubborn company set in their old ways. The input from fans means very little to them.
That's pretty much what I did. I'm not rich and have bills so I was on a budget. I saved over time and I managed to buy an i5 with 3570k 3.40Ghz for $550 bought a $200 660 graphics for it which I later upgraded to a 1060 graphics card with 6gb for it and I added 16gb ram for $35. No, its no high end PC, but I can run anything on it at high or ultra.
That image with the logo, Lara and the castle is from ROTTR.
Digital Games are becoming a problem as time goes on in terms of purchasing them. Because our games are tied to one console. Which doesn't make sense if you think about it because it's the same account. Then again it's obvious why, because the new hardware can't play the older games. Which makes me ask, how many consoles will we have to own to own our digital games? Something has to be invented so as we go from console to console we can keep our purchased games. PS Now is not ...
It's my theory that this game was never finished. It abruptly ends with too many plot holes. Before that I was enjoying it and excited to see where the story was going, but then it was quickly over. I was left asking, that's it? What about her and him and that character? They said they were gonna do this and that and that we were gonna do this thing. What happens next? Why is the game over?
