They’re going down those familiar troupes and playing it safe. There’s very few developers willing to take a risk. Especially when millions of dollars are involved in making a triple A game.

I actually love the new open world AC games. I never get tired of attacking a bandit camp or fort. I'm level 60.

The problem with these homebrew games on Dreams is once the gimmick wears off (Oooh wow! It's Kirby on PS4) You're left with a shallow experience. So far I haven't played a deep rich involving game on Dreams. They're all simplistic or just have you wander around doing nothing.

Square needs to bring back the classic Lara Croft we all know and all. It's time.

The first option is to just make another realistic TR game with classic Lara Croft. That seems obvious.

The other option could be to make a cartoony style TR game with classic Lara Croft. By that I mean super deformed art style with cell shading or something along those lines. Sell it as a budget title for $29.99.

@MWH Nah, there as far away to classic TR as you can get. Gone is the confident sometimes sexy woman Lara Croft. Replaced by a scared whiny girl. Which was fine in the 2013 game. They're reintroducing Lara Croft's origin story. I expected her in 3 games to grow as a character though. She really didn't much.

The peak of this re-imaging of TR was Rise of the Tomb Raider. I enjoyed this third game for what it was, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I think because there was this build up to who Trinity were and in the end it turned out to be a cliche villain who wanted ultimate power. Zzz. He was interchangeable with the villain from Uncharted: Lost Legacy. I almost can't tell them apart.
