That's what we need. Another FPS. We don't get enough of those. Who wants exploration and discovery in a game? Solving puzzles? Nah! Just huge set pieces with countless waves of enemies and mindless shooting. Oh and don't forget to add the uninspired multiplayer mode.

MGS4 helped a little bit, but I know for me and millions of others. We boycotted the PS3 because of how expensive it was, but when the much lower priced Slim came out. We lifted the boycott and finally accepted the PS3. The smartest move Sony ever made!
It's technically been 3 years for the PS3. The first two years was an uphill struggle for the PS3. It wasn't till the Slim that it really started to pick up steam and establish itself as a true contender this generation.
I think the Wii2 is a smart move on Nintendo's part. They can be #1 and have the hardcore audience as well. That could put them through the roof! It would be nice if Wii2 plays Wii and Gamecube games as well.

As someone who owns both consoles. I can give an honest unbiased opinion. So far after seeing this footage and all the footage on both systems. I can tell you my honest opinion. The PS3 version looks slightly superior.
It's being reviewed by the same people who went crazy for Halo during the Halo phenomenon. They're nostalgically biased.
Halo is overrated. It was awesome in 2002, but today it's mediocre. It's rep for being the greatest fps is based purely on nostalgia. The gamers that played those early Halo games remember all the fun times they had playing Halo and they're trying to recapture that magic with every new Halo game. It's never gonna get better than Halo2. FPS games have moved on. Halo hasn't.

They're not even trying anymore and what's with tall objects falling at us in 3d perspective. Is that the new innovation in 2D sides scrollers? Donkey Country Returns did that too.
The reality is it's just another mediocre FPS. So I don't get the hype. It's not like it was trying to reinvent the wheel or take FPS games to the next level like BF3.
I prefer it as Pixel on XBL Indie. It was a fun sidescroller. I tried this one and got bored.
