This is gonna be controversial, but the story of this game is convoluted and stupid. It just is and I know you wanna praise Kojima as some kind of genius we don't get, but this is just a dumb story. No, we won't find out years later what he was trying to say. It will always be confusing and silly because Kojima is not a good story teller.

I like both games a lot, but TR is special to me because the first TR game from 96 really made an impression on me. There was nothing like it at the time unless you count Mario 64, but that was a cute platformer. TR was an action game with treasure hunting and guns. As a kid in the 80's playing Atari I used to dream of a 3d like game where I could explore a world, but in those days it seemed so unattainable. TR finally made that dream a reality. I wish the shrink ray was permanent. It's so funny to shrink people, robots and animals but they grow back to normal pretty quickly. Also be cooler if you could shrink them smaller than 3ft tall.
Ray tracing has to be the most unimpressive thing ever hyped to come to video games. Visually it's not that impressive, but damn, we all need it for some reason. lol!

I've read and watched several poor reviews of this game now. Most call it redundant in the game play. While having a chaotic story line that makes no sense. Some are also saying that the game is over produced.
They're just all fetch quest anyway. Kill this person, get me this thing. Rinse and repeat.
Probably not. I'm on a tight budget but you know I love video games so much.
