Well not catching up, but if you steal the attention you can have a few good years ahead while the competition's sales slow down. Everyone said there was no way the PS3 could catch up to the Xbox 360, especially after the large head start, but it did. But yeah, I don't think Nintendo can ever match the PS4 sales with the Switch lol.

Hmmm, I just don't see many people comparing two platforms that are nothing alike outside of their being able to play video games, or perhaps I don't know enough people who do so. I have a vita, I love my vita (weird, I know), but I never once thought of it and my consoles in the same way. I'd compare it to 3DS of course, because they offer similar experiences. They compete for sales, yes, but not in the same market necessarily. For someone to say compare Vita exclusives to those on an Xbox One seems far reaching. When PS4 and Xbox One have similar setups, and very similar libraries. Wii U often escapes comparison because Nintendo is always unique in their approach, though I do see why some would maybe include them. I'm not saying there's only one way to do it, but it doesn't make much sense in my opinion to compare platforms that I neve...
The reason only PS4 and Xbox One are compared, is because those are in direct competition on the market. For many, PC and Wii U serve as second and third platforms so they don't necessarily get compared to other competition. For a lot of consumers it's either PS4 or Xbox One (I personally have both and a PC), so they draw comparisons between the two. Not many are comparing an Xbox One to Wii U or a Vita, since those aren't exactly in direct competition of one another.
That's what I feel. This isn't me writing one wins the other loses, just a comparison and providing the different ways to look at it. I even mention that player preference can even be a deciding factor individually. For instance, if you love Gears, the rest of the games don't really matter, Xbox One has the best for you and so on. But, as you said, by a simple numbers game, Sony "wins".
It's already quite clear that the Remake will not be sticking to the original. It will have the same overall story, but if what Square Enix has been saying is to be believed, they really want this to feel like a new game, not just a rehash of what they'd already done.

The share button does work, though. You just can't record a few story bits at the end, so this isn't true. You just can't share the pictures to social media directly from the game (which is a feature for Prompto)

I'm waiting for specs to see if its inline with at least the standard ps4 and xbox one. If so, you can expect to see some solid support as there will be versions of each game that work on those consoles.
I find it hard to believe that it would be as powerful as the PS4 at least (if it is with that hardware, then I'd be super impressed). And 300 is what I'd spend on the console, more for games and peripherals though.
