Why is violence ok for their cartoons but not their games? What am I missing here?

Nah not really. World war 2 games had real battles and weaponry. I love history, I'm not bashing it to promote sci fi lol. I don't know why you guys would even assume that. More tactical is more realistic.
I'm not talking about "alternate reality" games like wolfenstein either. I think realism would be better in that setting, that's all. You can make it realistic without being dull.

I'm not saying they are obligated to do anything but being somewhat realistic is what set battlefield apart. It's not arma level simulator but it was more grounded than cod for example.

I didn't like HR at first but once I got into stealth I couldn't put the controller down. Combat may actually be a viable path this time around but I liked stealth so much I doubt I'll use it.
I'll pass. It seems so unnecessary and late to the party. If it was announced at e3 it would have been a hard choice for me but in the end my X1 definitely needs the upgrade. My ps4 not so much. Still curious about the neo though.

It's looking great. I preordered so I could pick this up when I pick up my gears Xbox the same day. That said, I still think it's a terrible mafia game. It should have been a new IP, it's good enough to stand on its own legs.
