Back in 2010 MS pulled the plug on Cross plat experiences for Shadowrun/Unreal Tournament 3 and other games.
Because Shooters cross play is a bad idea. They tested it and it had massive gaps that was noticeable.

Halo is an expansive IP that is always growing and you can only call it a cash grab if it was having bi yearly intervals of major Halo titles. Still 3 year development time for each.
The Beta has proven 343i is taking Halo into the esports and competitive scene in a strong way.

How do you justify Pay Drops being fair? Because another player can steal your stuff. It's basically the laziest way of doing Pay to Win.
