Bioshock was a great game, but the 'shooting' part of it was pant's. Best 'SHOOTER' should go to COD4.
the journalistic quality of that article speaks volumes if you ask me.
1up are a bit biased towards 360, it's entrenched in their organisation because most of the Sony team left when they lost the OPM deal.
Sony pulled the plug on them, they probably lost sh!t loads of cash and prompted most of 'em to either leave or invest their enthusiasm in Microsoft (who will probably eventually sh!t on them too in the end).
Sad to see the demise of 1up really,...

i was in a shop the other day and I heard the guy behind the counter say 'i've heard there's something wrong with the graphics on the ps3 version'
... made me smile, let's hope that kind of talk hurts EA's pockets and they do a proper port next time.
if leading on ps3 leads to excellent cross-platform development then we can all look forward to quality games and hopefully and end to all this bickering.
btw: is burnout using Criterions renderware or is it something new?
All this video does is discredit GameVideo's... shame really because I like 1up as a whole.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the PS3 version does have more framerate issues than 360 but this video isn't the way to prove it.
I also wish people on this forum would also just accept that performance issues on 360 ports has nothing to do with the PS3 power/ability... instead it has everything to do with the economics of converting a codebase that was never designed for P...
seriously tho' would you watch anything on a 360... it sounds like a f'ing hairdryer, my PC in work is quieter than my 360.
(I'm hoping that the next revision of 360 will be super silent as the noise is the only complaint I have about the system)
this game is going to be pretty good but I have to say that the video is full of BS. there's too much talk these days from dev's... just get on and write the game.
Free Radical have been the same about Haze... I mean how many interviews did those guys do?
I was hoping this would turn out ok on PS3 especially as a hard drive is standard on PS3. I was hoping they would put some effort into reducing the amount times 'Loading...' pauses that occurred during play, which plagued the XBOX1 and XBOX 360 versions.
:-( ah well... 360 version it is then.
the signal to noise ration on N4G is getting worrying... every article I read seems to be someone dissing Sony and PS3. What about finding positive news about 360 and convince people that way rather than wasting all the effort finding what's wrong with the other machine.
I'm fortunate to have all 3 systems, they all have their strengths and trust me between 360 and PS3... there's nothing in it... I wouldn't rate either as being 'better' than the other... just pick the one that ...
this is exactly why the 360 lacks any soul... great machine but no personality... no passion... no style.
Wii and PS3 may not be a developers dream but they have the above in spades.
Of course this is just my opinion.
I think 360 has enough momentum in North America now to fend off the PS3 but let's be honest... if we're looking for a so called 'winner' it's the Wii. The 360 even with it's 2 years momentum cannot compete with the Wii. The Wii is bulldozing it's way through the competition in all territories and that's with shortages... people are nuts about 'em... it is the 'must have'. 360 and PS3 on the other are just toying with the likes of us 'hardcore' at the moment.

bio shock was really good but I never thought of it as a shooter... more of an adventure / rpg etc.
to call it a shooter wouldn't do it justice (eveb though there is shooting in it)
if that makes any sense ;-)
