I understand your point Fig and agree with it for the most part but I am one of those who didn't want to lose OtherOS. I admit I didn't use a hell of a lot it or buy it specifically for that feature but I did buy it WANTING that feature in there as advertised. Here are some additional points to consider
1) If US is about even and Japan still sells well but falls short of 5 Mill or so then Europe will be the deciding factor and with GT5 releasing this year Sony will definitely be close to or surpass the 360.
2) With #1 in mind the only way MS will keep a "lead" (on paper not in real world usage/ownership) is to price drop the 360. Which is almost a definite at this point because they are stagnating EVERYWHERE outs...
Please don't lump ALL of us Americans in with some. Yes the 360 has "more" ram. 512Mb of standard ram @ 700mhz and an additional measly 10Mb "more" of eDRAM that cannot even hold/store a single 720p HD Image. The largest image that can be stored is in sub HD @ 640p. So while the 360 has "more" ram it cannot actually do ANYTHING "more" with it.
Whereas it is TOTALLY different for the PS3 as it has 512Mb of ram ~ but split. 256Mb GDDR3 @ 700mhz & 256Mb of XDR @ 3.2ghz...think about that fo...

@ Lykon ~ I know of 2 people that have launch 360's that haven't failed and only 1 with a Halo Edition that still works (but he uses it VERY little). EVERYONE else I know has been through a MINIMUM of 2 RROD's quite a few 3's and a few with 3+, I myself have had it 5 times and was one of the REALLY unlucky ones who has NEVER had one under warranty because of extenuating circumstances that lined up perfectly but against me...here's the whole of it that I have explained before ~
