If you have a TV that is 120hz and/or supports 24hz the you actually WANT to have that enabled. It removes the 3:2 pull down flicker and other issues. Please refrain from posting misinformation if you don't know what you are talking about or don't explain why you would even say something like that.
I agree Cviper, though I wouldn't mind damage if there was also an option to de-select it. But think about this situation for a moment, you are in the lead with a few turns left to go, damage is in place and the 2nd place driver slams into your rear quarter in a turn damaging that rear wheel so you can't continue, only for his bumper to be damaged and him go on for the win.
That is why I wouldn't want damage to be in place without being able to remove it. That is unless you race...

You really are blind to the real facts and can't see past that huh? Here I'll make it as clear as I can (once again)
The PS3 can produce better graphics and environments because of the hardware inside of it. Ram, BD, GPU, CPU & SPU's COMBINED make this fact. There is more to it than just a "graphics card" which represents factual reality.
Also if my theory is lacking logic, how is it that the PS3 can produce higher quality images & graphics? <-- ...
How can you say to use multiplatform as a base for comparison? That's like putting an Enzo against an F1 car then putting the same street tires on both and on top of that saying you can't go faster than 100 mph on a track. You are not using what the better car is capable of by restricting it to some sort of weak attempt to make things "even".
They are both very good in what they do, just that there is no comparison between the 2 when used at their MAXIMUM capabilities. ...

I have to agree with some of the earlier comments on page 1 where there seems to be some back peddling or a bit of preemptive downplay going around as of late on some gaming sites. I guess when the shoe is on the other foot people don't want to or like to hear it...funny how that works.
Additionally why is it that most articles (even if they praise the PS3's graphics capabilities in a half assed way) never discuss one little point...how you can have it ALL ~ Graphics, gameplay, p...
Lumbo ~ excellent point but in all honesty it wouldn't be $300 or $400 because all they are doing is swapping out repaired defective units. So the money invested (lost) is solely to use for repairing & not replacing with a new out the box price. So this just supports your point even more so, but makes it a MUCH higher percentage rate in terms of how many 360's are affected.
We may never know how many 360 have failed or will continue to fail. But one thing is for sure...NOBODY...
