'more changes to the game than ever before'
Slightly ironic from the way many high profile names said it felt, looks, and plays like Modern Warfare 2. But hey, hopefully it has a lot to offer.
They've had 2 years to polish this off, considering it's like Modern Warfare 2, they could concentrte on the online aspect, and with the ELITE stuff, that's confirmed, just have to hope this is really the game we're all looking forward to!
I think it's just a few people bullying the game.
Zombies are zombies, they're dead, they move, they want to kill you. Zombies are meant to be dumb... what fun is it having a running zombie opening doors, you might as well be playing GTA in first person and having cannibals run after you wanting to claw your brains out.
Yet, if the zombies had clever AI, I bet they'd say 'Zombies are meant to be stupid, not meant to be able to do that, stupid ...
This is what many people need to realise.
You can say that again! Such a tease, I don't tend to cope with hype so much. I tend to get too hyped up for my own good. But on Friday it will all be worth it :D
I know the feeling bro.
Trying not to watch too many videos on it, but it's just so hard >.>
You were a few days too slow to post this by the way ;D
Just remember when you're picking your skills, the XP skills will become redundant when you hit lvl 50 because XP will be no longer needed, making the skill points you used on the XP bonuses, useless. So personally I recommend skipping the XP bonuses if possible.
Having put 200 hours into Fallout 3, I really do think Dead Island is most like Fallout 3.
You have to check each corner for loot, not big gun loots or anything, but basic loot, which is everywhere in the world. You find yourself covering every corner looking for items, which is how I played Fallout 3, and it is going to be how I play Dead Island.
It has the skilltree style of Borderlands, and the RPG weapon design, but is more focused on melee combat. Seem...
Why is everyone bashing DI? So what it has bugs.... Fallout 3 had a ton of bugs and is relatively similar but noone dissed that game as much as Dead Island.
It's just.. 'OMG, a new type of game, oh wait, a fairly new developer, let's just hate on it cause it's a huge open world game, but it has bugs and glitches. I mean seriously... Glitches in the game? No way, this game might get 3/10 at best because it has bugs and stuff', a lot of it is unneccessary ha...
@rdgneoz
Who else thought to put all these mechanics into a single game and make it a open world zombie game?
If you wanna be picky then no video game is innovative, they all borrow elements from other games.
In my opinion it's still innovative... no other company said 'Hey, let's put all this together, add a open world and zombies, and make it one big fun game'.
Following that structure, every game copies or borrows ...
Dead Island here too. The FPS Genre has gone dry over the last few years and I find myself getting bored of them very fast. I'm really so happy a innovative game like Dead Island is coming out, with zombies too!
When I was watching it, and the bugs, I really really thought it was odd. Seemed to be a lot more glitchy too than the other videos I have seen off Dead Island.
Can't wait to see what the DEvs have to say to this though ;D
Everyone is so critical about this cause of FFXIII... What happened to waiting to see what the game is like before critisizing it?
Seananners was live streaming the Dev build, it was hilarious. No clipping all over the map.
They really need to get this fixed asap.
[Removed.] Sorry for having an opinion guys...

Fallout 3 with 4 player co-op and a beautiful zombie infested island. Considering your avatar is Fallout 3, I'm guessing you really enjoyed it. In my opinion if you like Fallout 3, then you'll like this a lot.
Never been a huge fan of Resistance, it's not a terrible game, it's just 'not for me' in that respect. I got about 3/4 the way through on Resistance 2 campaign, and it was fun for the most part.
But for me I get no replay value from it, but they do always make great co-op and campaigns though!
- Open World, with zombies.
- RPG elements, with zombies.
- 4 player co-op which is like Borderlands, with zombies.
- The fact it's so much like Fallout 3 [which I loved] , but with zombies.
As a huge zombie fan, I have been waiting for ages for a decent zombie game which isn't just a mindless gore/hack and slash fest like Dead Rising, or a game that isn't as... weird and bad [imo] as Left 4 dead.
Fallout 3, on a beautiful...
This is a one of a game kind, for a zombie game anyway.
Mash up Fallout 3, Borderlands, Dead Rising 2, and Left 4 Dead, and you have this beauty ;D
Have to say though, I took a miss on all previous zombie games because of the hacking and slashing aspect. However a huge open world RPG zombie game? Too good to be true.
As far as I'm aware, there are going to be a few PES2012 demoes coming out. Maybe the final dem Version will be launched on 360?
