Have to say I feel lik this is a more or less accurate view on the game.
Buggy, but really fun. Also it's nice to see another zombie lover has reviewed this game. One of the few reviews that doesn't spend most the review moaning about the bugs and actually talks about the positives in the game and talks about it with an open mind.
To be fair to the developers and all those working on the game, they have recieved many mixed reactions over this last week. A lot of people seem to love to bully this game, and simply call out all the faults and leave it at that. Instead of looking at all the positives, all the bugs, faults and even this accusation gets exaggerated a hell of a lot.
This perk name, they didn't leave it in the final version, that's the most important thing here, a lot of people are ove...
Ouch.. This needs to get patched up quick if it's happening a lot. I feel sorry for the devs, they're clearly working hard on it, but I guess one fixed bug means another major bug. I sure hope they fix this soon.
Funny how you can say all the bad points so easily, yet you can't even mention a good point about the game. At least be a little more constructive with your criticism rather than just slagging the game off.
The game is faulty, a lot is wrong with it yeah, but on the other side of the coin there's a whole island to explore, and it isn't small either, you can get a ton of different weapons. Each play through will be different. The game has a lot to offer. Sure it h...
I've never played Assassins Creed before, so I downloaded this today and... Woah it's something new. It has annoying problems but apart from that it's a ton of fun!
Personally I find the review a little harsh myself, giving it only a 2/4 because of bugs and and glitches. I can understand them being annoying and hindering someones playthrough of this game, but for it to more or less ruin someones whole experience of this game seems a little far-fetched.
Also surprised to hear someone not like the co-op mode too, but hey, each to their own I guess.
Believe it or not, Sony has a premium-tier service too... Plus I don't know many that'd take a premium paying service over a free one that works just as well.
Free, well to me, is attractive. If I looked at PS3 and knew I had to pay so much every year just to talk to my friends or play games I want, then I wouldn't be so happy with the service.
I'm getting neither. These fanboy wars are kinda lame... You pay money to get the game YOU want. Of course people don't like the same stuff, it's variety, it's the reason why we like different music and so on. Just buy what appeals to you and leave it at that surely?
It's a very nice addition don't get me wrong, but it will be available over the internet with a map in the next few days most likely. So It'd feel like a huge waste to buy it.
This is a very complex subject to talk about, actually. Several factors come into this rather than just wanting to get away from life.
- Life issues [wanting to get away from them]
- Addicted to a game for the game [Sometimes games can just reel you in and before you know it you're hooked]
- How much spare time you have
I just find it to be a complicated subject in all honesty.
I've been addicted to games, I've g...
Very very nice. All we need now is an interactive map with all quest locations and the such (:
Nice idea but after they post all this on the internet, it's not going to be very useful at all.
I mean, you could go on a internet map with all the secrets on your iPhone rather than paying for an app. It's a very nice touch, but is it really neccessary?
Why thank you for your kind words.
Borderlands, the modified guns were game breaking, yet a whole lot of fun, also many problems with Hex editing the characters to get infinite skill points. Anyway back on topic.
Most game trailers these days are bad and nobody ever remembers them, but the first time an amazing trailer is made, people hold it against them. Trailers are just teaser adverts, if you see one of any other game, you don't look twice as it rese...
Yah, it has nice information regarding the blueprints, but the most important thing is the location, so the title is a little misleading at the moment.
Nice job though.
Sure is a mixed one.
'Dead Island plays like a great mix of Fallout, Borderlands, Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising. All great games on their own but spliced together you get an amazing journey of survival horror in Dead Island. With a lengthy campaign to be played alone or online cooperatively, plenty of collectibles to be found and a huge island to explore, you are going to be playing this for a while, and loving every minute of it.'
Spot on.
Great article for the simple fact it's humorous and all in good will :D
Agree with you duger.
That and the fact many many people are still thinking about the original trailer for some bizarre reason.
o.o This review is kind of harsh towards Dead Island...
The breaking of weapons, and tedious questing because of having to kill zombies gets boring, is the reason the score is only 6.5?
If it takes a long time to build an ultimate weapon, and I could use it for long periods without repairing, I'd get bored of killing zombies so easily just using the same weapon because I can. It takes from the survival atmosphere and makes things boringly easy. I can und...
'And it’s exactly this reason that I think Dead Island was doomed before it ever released: we fell in love with a clip, not a game'.
You fell in love with an advert, that's all it was... an advert, it did it's job to get people to watch it, and a lot of people got excited by it.
This game would still have a lot of attention without that trailer, not as much, but still a lot. Borderlands, a lot of people know of that, I don't even remember ...
I love this game. But I wish I could play it already.
