A demo purpose is to generate interest in the game, and can be at any stage in development. Its by no means has to be showing the final build of the game or even near completion. I.E. Halo3 beta users will be blown away by halo3 since they expect it to be like the beta.
The purpose of a demo is like the purpose of a Movie trailer.It teases the viewer w/ a short clip and generates interest. Its not to just model the graphics, but to reel in interest for a potential Buyer.

I got it on Blu ray too. Don't know about waiting 2 hours to d/l a movie, that I will eventually delete to free up space. Its still cool having the option to do it. Thats one part of XBL that gamers take advantage of.

The game will be great and I Really hope they include
sonic the hedge hog in it. Also being a Wii owner this game and metroid prime are only justifications for buying a Wii. (As of right now)
