Why are these articles still around? Many tests have already proven this stuff. If you do not think that allowing 10 year old kids to play games filled with murder, sex, drugs, and heavy language does nothing then i don't know what to say. Violence covers more actions that killing people. I think it is too late for Nintendo to get kicked out of the handheld race, SONY did great with the psp, and the Vita is not selling for a loss. Low sales does not mean certain doom, juts look at the Gamecube. 21 million sales, but Nintendo made profit on every single one and was able to swim with money.

It is a rip off is other ways than people keep saying. No sh*t Nintendo did not create the brawler genre or crossovers, but it is the play style, and the look.
