Great summation. Does sound like he's a little perturbed at not getting the inside scoop. Maybe Kojima told Sony that MGS:GZ was not going to be a PS4 exclusive, and they gave him the big finger.
!!! Wonder if this is the reason Kojima thought he wouldn't be able to release Ground Zeros? Hayter is Snake, and using a new voice would take some adjustment and might be a negative change for a lot of people.

Your suggestion makes too much sense. There are 2 groups here. One with those of us who will keep our current console, and buy the PS4. The other contains those who must sell their current console to buy the PS4, but they want to keep their games.
Look, I've been a PC/Console gamer for years. The problem I see with PC gamers is that they (myself included) are always chasing visuals...even when a game sucks. Constantly buying new hardware to reach a greater level of visual fidelity. So, over those 5-6 years of a console generation, many PC gamers have spent more and more money and time upgrading their PCs, and tracking down mods. Meanwhile, the console gamer is just enjoying the gaming experience and some increased visual fideli...
All of these unfinished/undecided specs and designs put a big question mark on a holiday 2013 release. Don't be surprised to see the release date slip.

As a MGS fan, won't be buying this one. Seems like a cheap spin off, with the MGS name thrown on top to generate sales.
I think Sony will announce Gaikai which will probably be rolled into PS+. Gaikai buys Sony more time to roll out its new console at a later date. Think about it. Do they really need a new console right now if Gaikai gives them the ability to stream next-gen games. They just need to add an app, and possible hardware add-on to the PS3. Remember the weird patent Sony had a few years ago for an add-on CPU to the PS3?

God I hope so. A new Bad Company is sorely needed. I think they dropped the ball by focusing on MoH and not releasing a new Bad Company.
PS+ is a nice value, and I believe it is the subscription model you will see for the next gen. The model will provide day 1 digital (i.e. Gaikai). No more discs, if you don't want them, you just pay to play. Of course the disc model will still be supported, but the cash cow will be PS+ (A.K.A - Gaikai)

From a marketing standpoint, it is a huge win for Sony going into the next round. Sony can now say they have the more popular system (sans Nintendo) and the larger install base.
I think it also shows Sony's resolve and commitment to the platform. While MS appears to be letting the 360 die on the vine, Sony continues to deliver for the PS3.
