I realize that MS has to sell its box, but is it me or does all of this press out of MS seem desperate? Everyday, some exec from MS is trying to convince us on the prowess of the X1.
That it's $100 less than XBOne
So you thought ms did a 180 on their always connected policy think again. By limiting your disk space they are forcing you to rely on the "cloud". Then they will try to sell you a bigger drive with a ridiculous markup.
@Pharmd you took the words right out of my mouth. Towards the end of every console cycle the sequels start to seem like quick hacks to make a buck. Hoping the next gen has something fresh and not just a bunch of uninspired sequels.
Even with the price cut, the Wii U is still not appealing enough given that the new PS and XBox consoles are right around the corner.
Don't understand why this is a story. Core temp functionality should be a given.
So, Kinect is not required... Buuuuuuuut... You still have to buy it.
There's always an outlier or two, but let's be honest... The majority of the games will be crap.
Not really obscure consoles. Brings back a lot of memories. Makes me wish I had kept my 2600, Intellivision, and ColecoVision, or my Mattle Handheld football and baseball games.
Every Exec at MS needs to just shut up until the console launches. Every time they speak they make things worse. All future communications about the XBone, going forward, should come from Marketing only.
Please don't tease me with the grenade from BFBC...
The problem is I now have a set of headphones that will be useless with X1, and MS is asking me to spend more money on another set of headphones that are only compatible with the X1. I'm not going to yell at a Kinect sensor that is across the room. Also, Kinect is only half the equation. Kinect doesn't cover the audio output portion of the chat. What if I don't want everyone in the house to hear the chat?
Man... Was it really necessary to put this across 17 pages.
So, now they want me to spend $500 on a "Gaming" system that plays the games for me. Next they'll tell me how much better the graphics are, because I'm watching a replay of the game I didn't really play.
Love this dude... Funny stuff
Not likely that they will lower the price anytime soon. I'm still not buying that they had to remove functionality due to lack of DRM, that's just more BS from MS.
What's the over under on how long before Mr. Mattrick gets the ax *cough*, I mean... resigns?
@GamersRulz If you think EA and the likes are not getting a piece of the Gold subscription money now, then you don't understand business. EA is not going to stop the online pass program and simply walk away from millions of dollars. That money has to be replaced some how. EA, and other publishers/developers, are getting a cut of MS Gold money now, and will get a cut of the PS+ money in the future.
They didn't ruin EA's plan. Where do you think some of that PS+ money is going? EA, Activision, etc...
Would have been interested to see how the voice commands worked with the new Kinect, instead of using the controller to navigate.
