I was always for singleplayer so this downtime hasnt affected me one bit. I actually pray that this downtime forces multiplayer gamers to enjoy the single player campagin that they dont even touch like killzone 3, crysis 2, and black ops single player for instance.
Casual players need a kick option in multiplayer games to ban the really good players, so it wont be hard for them. They will enjoy the game a lot more that way.

R2 is isn't even a trigger on the ps3 controller. Its a pedal. Triggers are concave. PS1 had R1 to shoot, PS2 had R1 to shoot, and PS3 has R1 to shoot. Unless the PS4 controller has a trigger button then that will be the shooting button.
R1 button is the shooting button for playstation 3 shooters. PERIOD.
And whats the point of even mentioned that R2 pedal should be for shooting when you can customize your controls to your liking. Its called flipping ...
I third that opinion. Giving gamers different options on how to play their games like killzone 3 is what i like about gaming.
how does the ps3 version have better overall frame rate? look in the video at 1:05...ps3 drops to 12 frames per second while 360 doesn't drop at all. Then when they continue to fight the spiders the ps3 version goes above 30 and below 30 making a unbalance. But the 360 version is consistent at 30 fps.
and anyways screen tearing makes the game look like it has bad frame rate.
