Wait... Nintendo registered ASH? Does that mean that they're going to publish it? That's one of the best games out there on the DS (personal opinion) and it would really be great not to have to stumble though the mess of undersized text that the Japanese version contains.
It's good that they have deathmatch, but that's nothing to get hyped over now, is it? Almost every shooter out there has multiplay, and you'd be hard pressed to find one that doesn't have deathmatch. I would rather watch and see if they have any other modes that might be original or at least give a bit more variety...

Regardless of whichever project gets canceled, its development had better get shifted to DS. If it's really so revolutionary, I would think it's better on a system with a well-established user base and proven hardware, rather than something as model-specific and finicky as the cell-phone.
Why SE is emphasizing the mobile market so heavily in the first place is beyond me; isn't the game-and-go market the reason why handheld consoles exist in the first place?
Well, I don't think that a GBA cam cart is exactly the best idea, since it drives production costs higher and it's really a waste when it's only for that one game (it's hard to think of the DS as a camera, although someone could take advantage of it; who knows?)
Personally, I would think that they would simply add materia into the shop system already present. It's not too big of a coding challenge, surely.

Whatever, the way SE is going, FFXIV is going to be FFVIIx2. Really, SE should just release a Compilation Pack containing everything when they get around to making the sequel RPG, with an updated FFVII into the bargain - kinda like the Orange Box.

If they do have the ability to port mobile titles over to the DS, then Before Crisis had better be one of them. After all, it's the only title in the Compilation that has yet to be released outside of Japan.
A problem though: How the materia system is going to be implemented without the camera that the phone offers? Will they'll revamp the system to complement the DS's capabilities?
A graphical update would also be appreciated - although BC was gorgeous for a mobile ...

Holy crap, for one moment I read "Chrono Edge" and nearly had a heart attack.
It looks like it's on the PSP though, not the PS3. I suppose that's because of the 2D aesthetic they chose to go with (nothing against that; remember Odin Sphere?), but it's a shame, since I possess the former but not the latter.
