"is grossly overated!" I always thought that about Call of Duty.
Kotaku defending Edge
I didn't know the 360 version didn't have the whole movie but I remember now. When you meet up with Jenny at her place and she gives you the birthday cake you go with her into the main room and the TV is playing that old movie. I think it was "To Kill A Mockingbird". I sat there for probably 20 minutes wondering how long that damn thing would play and figured it was the whole movie at that point and left :)
And then back to Sony bashing the following day
Exactly, Stranglehold used a Sony movie. I didn't see any movie on the Darkness and I sold that back a long time ago, so I can't go back and check now.
I notice above the people defending Live fees use the "per whatever" calculating rule to justify it like every other supporter has done before. They probably bought the system at launch and have been paying Live fees since so they have spent more than I did for a PS3, but how they want to spend money is none of my business so I agree with them - they should pay 50 bucks a year for multiplayer privilages.
But I only see this working for Sony made movies because I don't see the other movie companies doing this (so they don't sell movies anymore) and leaving the 360 out. If they were to do that fanboys would flip out and who knows what else. Sony on the other hand could include their own movies on the disc and only allow the movie with the game to appear on PS3's movie/game combo. But you know once this starts Microsoft would then start to buy exclusivity on movies Sony doesn't own from the p...
From the screenshots it makes the last game look so last gen, so I don't think people need to wish for better graphics.
Unless Sony or Microsoft is publishing the game for the other system it's just another multiplatform 3rd party game that happens to be a new IP like Dead Space was. Just because it's coming from a studio that worked on Sony's stuff before like Bizarre did with the Club let's all hold hands and think there is nothing but love among us all.
Halo Wars comes out about the same time and Microsoft can use Jedi Mind Tricks at times so what may seem like a RTS could actually be a reason to buy a system all of a sudden. You know those RTS games always are huge system movers :)
of course not. it's on the 360. and in case Halo Wars fails 360 owners can say they have RE5 to distract themselves from the rest of the gaming world.
Cue the typical comments like these were some of the best games and I can't wait like I'm real excited.
Keep an eye on how many articles come in and keep coming in raving about Halo Wars like the mass market cares about console RTS games. Actually, even if it was the best RTS game ever regardless of platform including PC it still is a niche genre. It's cool if the game made more gamers like the genre, but that's not going to happen so all the handjobs are insulting.
"the funniest this about this review is out of 100 reviews"
Now I hear ya, but once one joker puts the garbage out, it's never long before some fool goes lower because he's got a partner in crime.
Because anybody with half a brain would say something don't look right.
But I don't think it's about fanboys and the reaction to this reviews opinion. It's the principle. Based on technical achievement alone the game deserves high praise or gamers everywhere can all play the Wii and be happy. If a developer can push gaming presentation further and it is rewarded, more developers will have something to strive for thus a better future for us. Eventually we should hope to have games that actually look real. Or is the first time reviewers sing high praise and he...
from behind the door neighbors said they could hear "awww, do I have to"
He takes a break and writes this review.
Now back to work.

During the Xmas shopping rush the price of the 360 helped, but even more than that my guess is it was the terrific specific store deals. Some stores bundled up to 3 games plus the system for regular price. I saw a Guitar Hero bundle where you got the system and the complete GH3 set for just what the system costs also. The give-aways were unreal, but stores aren't giving stuff away now. For example, I don't think stores even have any sales on "games" this week.
Sony could pretty much continue at the current price point and just wait for the big game titles to help sales. No offense to Microsoft but I don't see Halo Wars selling systems. I'm sure the Halo cult will buy it because it's Halo and that goes without saying. But Killzone 2 is looked at as something different because it is said to have the best graphics out of all console games, and that might get some people interested.
"a new Resident Evil game with one of the largely atrocious films doesn't appeal."
To who? Do they know the market for which something like this is targeted? I'm quite sure there are tons of RE fans who would jump on something like this, so making a blanket statement with nothing but negative undertones is insulting to me as a gamer.
