The purpose to reviews is to provide scores to each game. When one game gets devalued because of something that is overlooked in another title it reeks of deception. There is personal preference and then there is brainwash. If certain things ever matter then they should always matter. The "who cares" stance is for fanboys, not professionals.
For this reason I cannot respect this review.
The BEST. End of story.
Wouldn't make a difference. The people that enjoy it, defend it, pay for it will continue at whatever price because it has become tradition. I don't think they even think about that anymore. If it were something like 200 bucks a year then maybe a couple would have to buy the regualr editions of games that year instead of the 200 dollar life size replica versions, but gaming is an addiction...when cigarette prices went up people didn't stop smoking.
Dude, it was easy for devs to work on 360. They figured it out basically on day one. It was out an entire year earlier so it's had plenty of time to bring it. Obviously something is missing. Sure we can all look at stats and names of Cards and things inside the machines, but at the end of the day one system is releasing games of higher quality. And in 2010 say 360 finally gets one game to look like a PS3 game. Do you think Sony doesn't have games coming that will continue to look better...
I would like the GO too if the other one wasn't cooler looking.
Seriously. What they need is to embrace that M rating. Have that scene where the girl is trying to seduce me thus getting naked only to start changing into a beast, and the only way to kill her is to shoot off both of her alien nipples while she attacks like a savage.
We both know that would be classic so hit agree :)
Why do you feel compelled to compare everything? Some things are undisputed...like, the best PS3 games are the best looking games on console. It's not like 360 hasn't had enough time to beat Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2 - I mean the 360 is supposed to be easier to program for too, right? That means they would have tapped its potential sooner, so in other words it's not going to happen.
The PSPGo! is a no go so they should have left that one for the Eastern markets that love the handhelds because of the convenience of space with all the people. They only love BIG monsters - small game machine.
With poor sales on the Go will they want to try again?
And even if they want to, would that be smart?
you both have one disagree so he probably is trolling his own story's comments and got you :)
I agree. Rockstar is better than Sucker Punch and there are some real great 3rd party developers who if they had the chance to open things up probably would beat a lot of Sony first/2nd party stuff. But you can't blame Sony for being a holdback this gen when certain games are content wise and graphically better on the PS3. 360 has had plenty of exclusive games that could have shown what it can do. It just turns out the best PS3 exclusives represent the best looking and most robust games t...
Oh I agree. It's remarkable how games evolve in the matter of months on PS3. I would say the same for 360 games but for some reason the same progress doesn't apply. I really liked Infamous by the way but as we go along screen tear and pop-up really shouldn't be in a GOTY. And although Demon's Souls has absolutely no chance of winning because gaming is like politics, it would be cool if they created a "2nd place GOTY" award basically in honor of that game because the real hardcor...
Take Infamous off
Leave Demons Souls
Killzone 2 has to go too
Batman can stay as a novelty
Resident Evil 5 sucked as a game so please
and Uncharted 2 craps on all the above in every way
You should be glad I don't officially rate games because I'd give it a 7.5 because it feels last gen with a new paint job and a neat idea.
Or maybe this is more in tune, it's like being in the last row at a huge arena during a concert while you wished the band played a smaller more intimate venue.
But I am surprised they got away with a T rating with all the foul language.
Bet you some stoner out ther names the pet trippy because it sure looks that way
Having the most reviews suck up to it while having the most reviews keeping it from perfection even though they give perfect scores to unperfect games all the time.
It's funny if you think about it.
I read these reviews and from the descriptions it sounds 10 if ever a game was. Then you go back and look at some of the 10's given to games in hindsight and see those games probably deserved an 7.5 or 8 if they scored those as ticky tack as Uncharted 2.
It's not something you can easily find out so odds are you never will, but it makes sense in the realm of business when you love to use sales numbers as an argue point to promote the value of your product and brand.
It gives you unquestionable "numbers" because sales are sales.
High numbers make things more impressive.
But that's not all. There are plenty of ways to promote your brands.
For example, take two "60 secon...
Sony and Insomniac aren't stupid. Sony can't promote every game they fund equally because certain games deserve more attention. You wouldn't brag about having a pewter ring, but if you had lots of daimonds on that ring you can. Sony has promoted the majority of Insomniac's games so far this gen because up until recently they were one of the better ones. They are still good, but even they acknowledge that Naughty Dog has raised the bar and deserves the promos Insomniac got before.
Hey, it says "exclusives", as in plural, more than one. We all know Agent. What else?
Where are most of the tresures. I found a quick six and from there nothing. There's supposed to be something like 100 of them so I shouldn't be able to go multiple chapters without finding any...I think?
