It just has to be great at what it is...and it is.
Was playing it for about 3 1/2 hours.
It's awesome.
Definetely better than a 7 good (I could tell that in the first hour).
The objectives matches (A and B then C) are real cool.
I won't be trading it in.
You know Monster Hunter, that same game that was supposed to be PS3 exclusive before it went to Wii because Capcom said PS3 at the time didn't have enough systems out.
You know Monster Hunter, that same game that sells huge in Japan where 360 doesn't have enough systems.
Doesn't make sense at all.
I'm not sure the timezone so it might not effect me much, and I might just start with the offline training mode tonight anyway.
How do they know he's a cracker...could be a black guy
I'm not...they're cashing in on site hits. There's 300,000+ pre-orders alone. That's a lot of traffic to sell the website and try to increase its reader fanbase.
The people who are going to play this and have fun with it won't care if it gets a 2/10. Essentially the lower the score it gets might do some good and weed out the casual noob who thinks he's a real gamer because now he won't feel compelled to try it even though it's obviously not his type of game. You know that player who obviously wasn't going to invest time into the game to become good and dare I say "win the war" since they have no concept overall of what it takes to win or w...
The gamplay is tight. The maps are right. So learn the maps and find your crew so you know what to do.
It's a new breed of multiplayer only game - as in you want to play by yourself then go play some other game where you can run around and basically play by yourself.
Granted SOCOM was sold bundled with the headset and Warhawk had a deal like that as well. But seriously guys, if you don't already have a head set for the PS3 then that's pretty sad and probably a good sign that you're not the type of gamer that should be playing this game anyway.
But then what did Sony get from allowing Rockstar out of the exclusivity for the GTA series?
Let me guess....was it a great big bag of Microsoft money =)
There's something like 200,000+ pre-orders on the game. Not everybody is going to buy it on day one, and not everybody is pre-ordering. My guess is there will be a consistant 300,000+ who play it months from now. At that point I could give 2 shi+s about anything else because I'm not making any money off any game. What is there to fail?
It's not like the people who buy it tomorrow are going to still be playing it a year from now...unlike MAG =)
Cashco.
And it had to come from a guy not really in the media for that reason.
=)
The disc swapping isn't a problem. It's when 3rd parties don't want to make 2 disc games due to the extra costs so then both 360 and PS3 gamers suffer since those games could be bigger and better.
Anybody?
After reading your post at #7 and from the podcast I guess -
I have always found it strange how 3rd parties always seem to have something to release at the same time a Sony game releases. And while some of those 3rd party games haven't been that good, most of the times they tend to get plenty of hype as if to distract gamers from the Sony game. Also I don't think there are many media outlets that cater to the PS3. But maybe the lack of coverage for the PS3 is why people like...
Blu-ray
It's a next level experience.
